A new exploit in TITAN ?

Yesterday I came across something really strange with my buddy playing a round in TITAN. There was this player named " DA-MOEP" he appeared to sink in between those two container on the inside. Cause I've seen him laying on top a couple of times but then he dissapeard. His stats where like 38 - 0 !!! Inside a full TITAN assault in progress. My Team died like flies. My buddy didn't even see him at all !!

Anybody aware of such a thing ?

But yeah, that's old. If you see it, and want to help the server admins, get screen shots around and above the crates showing clearly that they are glitching, and submit to the admins on their web page. It's easier if they are on your team, since they'll show up on your mini-map at the same time, and it's pretty convincing evidence. Otherwise need to drop on IDS or something and get your screenies without getting killed in the process. :D

On an admined server (decently run, anyway) they will likely be banned. A techno-guru like VT_Nerd may have other pointers or advice, too...

This is a rather old exploit that has yet to be fixed.

Fix? Or create an invisible wall around the boxes you can't jump on them as a quick workaround? :P

I played about 5 Titan rounds this weekend and at different servers and times. On about 4 of those rounds I was on Titan defense and only 1 or none of the consoles were blown. Next thing I know the Titan core is destroyed and my team lost. This is now my norm. I assume it is some kind of exploit that uses rdx and switching teams or the coordinating with the other team. I may have even helped this by being a good supply team member by resupplying the offender. It really sucks when your Titan is destroyed with not a single enemy player aboard at the time of destruction and all the consoles not destroyed. I hate that. It is happening to me all to frequently. Bummer. I may have to go to conquest if it keeps up.

If the server has battle recorder enabled and set up correctly that is the best evidence you can get. Failing that you could go on the same team as that person and use the death cam to cycle through your team's players. When you get to him inside of the crate leave it there and take some screenshots from that vantage point.

A screenshot from your 1st person view would be the next best thing to do if BR is not on and you can't switch teams for a few minutes. I don't know of any other way to gather proof of this exploit.

BF2142 Titan Mode Is A Exploit Game mode in its own way. There are virtually tons of exploits that dice and ea ignore and hope they fix themselves...play conquest.

I used to get that "Core Destroyed" thing all the time while I'd be defending a console, no one near it, suddenly it is destroyed and pffft! there goes the core. Man, I thought they fixed that one in 1.25!!!

I've been playing 95% Titan lately after getting a new rig and OMG, this "Core Destroyed" thing is really getting old.

I mean, we've been owning the whole round, defending our Titan and cappin' silos. Then just as we're about to enter the enemy reactor room, "Our Titan has been destroyed!" I'm defending console 1 and I can see its still intact; our Titan is not taking damage from missiles because we've got the silos...

What? How? O man, the glitchers have done it to us again...

I hate to just blame it on the glitchers but I don't understand how else this keeps happening.

I agree buddy. Is is pretty f*cking lame. I just don't get why people have to cheat ?? How much sense does it make if you cheat all your awards etc.

Funny, when I read this thread I hadn't seen a titan glitched to death in forever, but pubbing last night saw it twice. Grrr! The glitcher was on my team, but it still just sucks the fun out of it for everyone.

I wish I know how that console glitch worked, because then I could try and stop whoever was doing it. Or is it not something I can stop them from attempting? I'm not asking anyone to discuss "forbidden" topics and I wouldn't use it myself, since I agree what's the point in awards, etc., if you cheat to get them?

PS: Don't you think it doesn't suck to either defend a console forever (heavily) or attack and all of a sudden the TITAN blows up ??? Don't you see what this is becoming ?

But it wasn't just anyguy that used it it was number 1 on the leaderboard KAIN!! At the end of the round he had a 210 round score with 0 deaths.

But the server runs battlerecorder so it's quite easy to proof...:-)

What can we do about that?

Definitely the first thing you should do is go download the recording before it expires off the servers records.

It is the ultimate stupidest players who will do this. There is virtually no challenge at all. You can kill others but you cannot be killed or hurt. There is no skill involved at all. What joy can you take from winning a battle when the enemy is defenseless and you cannot be hurt. What a loser. Why even fire up the game. Just declare victory and move on. Dice should fix these glitches and why they don't astounds me.

Play titan mode almost every night on different servers and this exploit happens on a routine basis..........just use to it, I guess.
