i was messing arround in the single player part of bf2142 like learning how to loop the gunship and take out tanks when i fired at a enemy gunship i got messages appearing at the side of my screen for each missle fired

"fox one, fox one"
"fox two, fox two"
"fox three, fox three"

then i crashed :hmm:

has anyone else seen this and can confirm wat it said??
no matter what i try i cant seem to get it again to take a screeny!

I believe Air Force and Navy pilots yell this callsign out when they fire an Air-to-Air missile in today's world.

So it applies to your position where you fired AtA missiles at the enemy gunship.

Hmm its in the localization files but I never knew where they were used! I will have to do some testing

I have over 85 hours in the gunship, and I have never seen that in my life. o.O That's amazing, and also really really weird.

Imagine the spam it would be when a pilot slams off 10 missiles in less than a second... Nasty. I'm happy they didn't include this.

yeh ive heard it in films etc....anyway the scenario that made it happen was.............

single player.
Verdun

i jumped in the gunship first thing....took off and headed towards the centre of the map (was about 50ft off ground, 80ft away from other gunship with no gunner)

Wait... Verdun...? That's not a standard single player map is it? I don't think I've seen it in the list. You're using a single player mod, then?

I've flown on Suez in single player (I think that's the only standard single player map with a gunship), and never heard those messages.

Yup, I think we're dealing with the Single Player Mod here...

I've played Suez Canal singleplayer once and in the mech's AA gun, when I got a lock on tone to an enemy gunship, I fired the EMP missles and I heard: "Fox one, fox one!"

Never heard it anywhere else.

My mistake. Just fired up single player to double-check. Indeed you are right.
