Apparently so... the observant player might have noticed something in the in game newsticker of BF2142 mentioning something of a new conflict heading our way... this time on the Arab Peninsular. Either it is a VERY late April joke or they do have something new coming.

Looks like a new vehicle heavy map but also looks like fun. Hopefully the changes they implement for the BF2142 version won't be too significant and they can pump it out quickly.

Well... they might make us pay for it for BF2142. ;)

We had to pay for NS which was in close competition with free patches I've gotten. lol

But if its free for BF2 and they make it for BF2142 too, it'll probably be free.

Not free but sponsored by Intel! The objective is to secure the area (or something similar) for delivery of new advanced Intel technology to the battlefield. lol

Okay, so how much do you think Intel ponied up to sponsor the map? Maybe we could start a collection and sponsor another map. Just imagine the backstory:

"The Total Battlefield forum moderators have been captured by enemy forces. Every thread is a rant about stat-wipes or how bad EA sucks in their absence. Secure the area to free the mods and restore order to the forum."

a free map from EA for 2142 ??

please shoot me. :ar15: :dead:

u must be kidding, EA is in it for the money.:shakehead: they'll release it for 2142 in an expasion or booster. they're just trying it out on 2 to see if people like it.

also they say that you have to have an intel processor to run the map with allthe enhancments.....AMD users have to upgrade!! ;)

thats bull s*** it doesn't matter on the procceser.

intel is just trying to make AMD users that play battlefield to use their procceser. (EA will back them up because they got a sponser Deal)

This is a great idea! Let's start to pass the hat and get some new content going... I'm sick of playing the same maps over-and-over again.
