Does anyone know what patch made it so we could no longer spawn inside the titan when the spawn beacon was placed inside? I've looked at old patch release notes, but can't seem to find anything..

i'm not looking for an exploit you moron, anyone who plays titan knows you can put a beacon ANYWHERE within the lower inside of the titan and when you spawn, you land on the OUTSIDE of the titan.

regardless, i'm not trying to glitch or use an exploit, I"m trying to find the patch that fixed where you spawned on the INSIDE of the titan using the beacon.

I think it was the first patch that removed that option, to stop the bug where you can spawn into the reactor room. If I remember right if the beacon was placed anywhere inside the titan, you spawned on it without using a pod.

Yes I believe it was the first patch as well. It had to be either the first or second, but I honestly can't be sure which one it was.

It was the second patch I presume, which was the hotfix? As they forgot to actually fix that problem the first time.

I ahve not been doing many spawns on enemy Titans, but it was the second patch that fixed that error.
As for "never spawning inside Titan" thats a new one on me, I knew that if it was placed in the Cargobay you could spawn inside and within 2meters of it, but recently I have been doing infantry or staying inside our Titan

For those who think I was trying to find out about a glitch (which I wasn't), i actually contacted EA, and yes, they actually responded, in the same day (WOW). here is what they said:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us with your concern. No, placing a spawn beacon inside of the titan so that your squad can spawn on top of the titan is not considered an exploit or a glitch and is working as intended. Before the patch, people were able to place a spawn beacon inside the titan. Then if the commander moved the titan it was possible that players would spawn inside of boxes or other structures. This then allowed them to shoot out from those structures, but not be hit themselves. Now, since you always pod in from the top, this cannot be done. The developers want people to be able to spawn on the titan, they just don't want people spawning inside of boxes.

If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know. Thanks for your continued support of EA Games and good luck on the battlefield.

Two things you need to consider genius.

1. Don't attack someone directly and start calling people names. I promise you the last thing you want is to get into a name calling match around here. You will quickly lose any respect peeps had for you and you could get banned.

2. Your OP was ambiguous at best and no matter how many times I read it it still comes across fishy. Had you been more forthcoming about why you were looking for this information it might have read differently. I am not the only one who took it the way I did.

Its not like there are even any servers still playing the older version anyway and its not ranked so i dont see what harm giving the patch can do.

But if you actually analyse so deeply (in this case, its reverse phychology), you are twisting his request, into believing he will get a patch before the fix so that he can stat pad away, which is your point of view.

I could care less what the OP does or does not do. I don't run around worrying about who padded and who didn't pad or why. I read his post and my perspective on it was that it sounded fishy. I was not aware that I could not read something and form my own opinion on it. His reply however began by calling me a name and I felt the need to say something about it. Everyone is different and each person has a different take on things they read. I won't apologize or retract mine.

Also make a note that his letter from EA did not identify which patch in particular fixed the issue. They did not say in patch so and so we fixed it. It's interesting to me that they would not tell him freely if it were no big deal, or perhaps that guy from EA thinks like I do.

Just out of curiosity, why would it matter what patch fixed the issue? It has been fixed. Someone explain to me what possible purpose one could have for trying to identify it. We know what you could do in the past, and we know you can't do it now. If one were modding that would not even explain why in my mind. I would happily engage in a conversation on this. Even the OP did not say why he wanted to know. Still seems interesting to me.

I also acknowledge that ranked servers don't currently run that patch and using it won't allow you to play on ranked servers.... UNLESS... this is the beginning of a new hack the involves modifying content and files and uses the executable from whatever patch he was looking for? Hmmmmm.... I guess some of us do look deeper into things eh?

To answer your question on why I was looking for it.. My team played a titan match on TWL and the team we slaughtered cried foul. They stated that we used a glitch (spawn beacon inside the titan) and TWL was investigating. The glitch in spawn beacons is when you place them somewhere they can't be destroyed, ie. under a box. Well, we in no way were trying to use an exploit/glitch b/c our beacon was in clear view and destroyable. So I started thinking.. i clearly remember EA releasing a patch that changed it so you couldn't spawn inside the titan on a beacon, however, you spawn on the outside (with the beacon still inside the titan). I was looking for the patch that corrected it so I could find the release notes and pass them along to the TWL admins.

Your first response in some mild way is accusing me of looking for a hack/glitch or exploit, which in turn labels me as a hacker/glitcher, etc. So what is worse, me calling you a moron, or you stating I'm a glitcher??? Why did you automatically assume i was trying to find a patch that allowed me to glitch on a server I couldn't run any longer b/c EA won't allow it?? that part doesn't make sense to me. so I stand by my response to your initial reply.

maybe I didn't clearly state the question for some, and that's my fault, but maybe instead of automatically assuming i'm up to something 'fishy', why not ask me first??

I don't know why I'm getting involved in this, but I just hate how people always attack the new people on the forums (same thing happened in that other thread where people accused winsrp of making a virus when he was just distributing an amazing stats program). It's absolutely ridiculous.

If you can read between the lines of the OP, I sure can myself, the bolded phrases, implies that he is trying to do something fishy, though he didn't mean it.

But w/e this arguement is in circles, and I really cannot be bothered to argue over a forum over someone's language that is probably superior to mine.
