There is alot of ways to increase your k/d

You could do the EPoX/Jx3Aroo and just play FF=OFF titan and RDX spam ontop of the Titans, or you could do the Byiooo and Spawnrape in a walker, or the DiVN and Spawnrape in the APC.

You get my drift, there is loads of easy/cheap ways to boost your k/d

Be a player with pride like me, try to use master's choice, like scar baur and clark, instead of chicken's choice, like voss. You won't get respect even if you went on messacre like 40-3 using voss(krylov).

Pretty OK. I compared my stats with yours and it seems we're pretty similar at places. I'm about as crappy as you it seems. :D

Although I have a helluva lot higher accuracy with the sniper rifles.

Lol, i've had BF2142 since it was released... And well, i've played a grand total of 2 days and 5 hours (that's if you include my 2 soldiers) :P I never really feel like playing BF2142, the game actually annoys me. I normally sit at my PC reading forums and listening to music when i'm on the PC.

Why I don't take stock in the K/D too much:

The weapon you got most kills with is the Voss. You fired over 10400 rounds and got alittle more than 1100 hits, to kill 134.

Those stats don't reflect the conditions of who you were shooting though.

I shoot about every weapon long-range (even pistols). My K/D and accuracy proves it. But the kills are more satisfying from range than in-your-face (because anyone can shoot very close). Shooting runners beyond 50m single shot or with a LMG takes a different skill, than cleaning out 3 5m in front of you.

Everyone has their own way of killing. I just wished the game had an average of range each shot was made. That'll explain why some have higher K/Ds than others, too.

Voss is a good "im drunk lol" gun for experienced players, and also a good beginners gun. Plus it's good for onboard Titans.

Don't hate on the Voss just because it's the best all-purpose gun in the game. On a situational basis, it is easily beaten by other weapons, but overall it's acc + rof make it king.

If you don't want to respect me, that's fine, but I do enjoy going 40-3, or better, with my Voss + PK-74s.

And.. the Voss can EASILY be beat by the Krylov if you know how to use it. Krylov, is fast and very reliable. I'd take that gun over any 2142 gun, any day. The Voss may only win because it has 40 bullets to the Krylov's 20.

Also I am proud of meh stats.

My favorite vehicle is the transport and I drive it all the time in non camp G servers. Also the Ganz is not my favorite weapon (although one of them) I am just ussually support so I can resupply my transport of death buds ( got my valourous ribbon cause of this).

Camp G was my favorite map but now I believe Highway Tampa has taken my Engineer away heart until they release something better.

Please laugh at meh and my 26 kill streak :) ( I was afk).

But also like I said in another post and I could whore my stats up easily like anyone else but choose not to.

I am a very decent tank whore imho and if chalenged could easily pull up a few gold stars but choose not to but follow a different pursuit. So even though you could say I could suck just by looking at my stats ( not to mention this is my first real FPS ever) I probably could probably be the deciing factor between you team winning or not.

Stats do not mean anything..Skill does

But most importantly having fun doing what you do.

Side note PLEASE FOR GODS SAKE do not run under a landing transport sure I do not mind points but I do mind Tks of someone thinking its a good to get under a near exploding chunk of metal.

I've been playing around with the idea of starting a new player since I'm not happy with my k/d ratio. To bring it back up to 1:1 It would take 1300 plus kills. It currently stands at 0.793. But when I think of all the missing ranks and hours to put in, meh. I'd rather just continue playing.

It's funny I know to care about kill to death ratio but it's just me :D

I think it's obvious that I like to use my Baur and Knife. My stats became more acceptabl ever since I halfway started to play Assault instead of Recon. Took me a while to have a positive KDR though, it's still improving.

Most fun was when I got my Titan Defense Gold and Collectors Gold in one round. Total that round was a staggering 2195 points...

Would like to improve on my score per minute.

As has been said already, try not to obsess over your stats if you can avoid it. As long as you're having fun, that's what counts. Nobody is going to remember or care about ANY of these 2142 stats in a few years.

That said...

If you're only now really starting to play, well yeah, your stats aren't mindblowing or anything, but you'll start to improve the more you play.

If I had to guess right now, I'd say your biggest problem is wanting those dog tags too much. ;) Your knife ratio is impressive, but looking at that along with all the other weapons, I'd say it's been at the expense of your life to other weapons. Might want to keep that knife in the sheath and stick to the guns more, just break out the knife when you have a golden opportunity (come across a sniper looking into his scope, facing away from you, etc etc) and not worry about it so much otherwise.

But yea am with Legend here, my stats k/d has dropped quite a bit recently, cos of knifing the top 50 players. Also unlike most clans with my clan, we mostly play on the opposite team, so instead of just owning noobs all the time (like most clans) we play against each other so your k/d doesn't go up as much.

That's precisely how I see it.

If you keep moving, you don't get sniped, naded or PK'ed.

If you flank you gain a massive advantage on the unwitting enemy.

If you use netbat and the minimap, you have the advantage of more intel than an enemy who does not use it.

Only thing I know is only some players you can tell if they are good are not from looking at their stats. You have to look at what stage they play at and other things. Like most wannabe snipers play at tunis making it easy to snipe, to where I play where people are on my buddy list. I don't care if it titian or what stage like camp g. I will always have my sniper rifle with me.

Even if someone is in my face trying to get my tags, I will still try and get that head shoot. Cause they will do one of two things. 1. Be like dang I got shot from that close, wow. Or 2. HACKER!!!!!!! omggzzzzbqq. No way could you shoot me from that close.

btw I am almost in the top 100 for sniping YES!

I really wanted to play in the scrim last night (which our guys had a blast in, even though you owned them) but since I'm in britain and I have work, it's not very appropriate to be playing bf2142 until 5am :(

If we continue to do the weekly scrim (and I sure hope we do)
I should be able to play in a few weeks.
