Random Repairs for youz to know :P

Well I did not know this but...

You can repair many things I never knew you could.

For instance I once had my Repair tool out and was prone next to a sentry drone It turned it could be repaired if it was every damaged.

I did some experimenting and fund you could also repair Commander Repair Boxes and surprisingly Explosive Boxes <- very dangerous to repair these :P.

Also You can repair all squad leader items.

I think IPS shields can be repaired as well.

Also I am not sure if any of these give repair points thought I think items like the sentry could. Culd anyone confirm these?

I believe that IPS shields may be repairable but it has no effect on their lifespan. From what I've heard/read, they last for a specified number of shots regardless of how much damage those shots do. Unless you hit the magic box of explosiveness!

The explosive boxes are the orange boxes that explode when shot (or run into by a drunk driver).

I don't think explosive boxes would give points since they're neutral and not on either side.

because the supply box degrades over time (slowly becomes damaged) and as supplies are used out of it, when all the supplies are gone, the box explodes, when you repair it, it restores the condition of the box so as an engineer with a box you can have unlimited supplied of pilum rounds or S.A.M.'s

there's a difference between supply crate blowing up from taking damage and from running out of supplies. the engineer repairing will only heal/repair the hit points lost from damage taken and has nothing to do with remaining supplies. so your repairing is not gonna lengthen the life of the supply crate in terms of it's supplying power.

The supply crate is also limited on certain items as well. I have had supply crates stop supplying Pilum ammo, but still would supply other stuff. Maybe it was my imagination...

Maybe they'll only give a certain person so much of a certain before temporarily stopping. In one game I basically stayed right next to one and launched constant grenades in the direction the enemy was advancing from, racking up quite a few kills in the process. I essentially had an unlimited supply and it was quite devastating.

After a while it stopped giving me grenades, though; I stayed there for about 15 seconds and got nothing. I went off for a bit and came back a minute later and got more, though.

Could have been an intentional feature or perhaps just a sporadic issue. Either way, I definitely stopped getting those grenades for a short while.
