From the official BF2142 site: http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2142/
Refresh it and there's stuff like Bank of America and those "only you can prevent wildfires" ads. :|:

They probably got more $$$ for that ad than everyone in this thread will get in their entire lives combined. Ads should definantly NOT surprise you, especially since they put them in their game...

If they actually want people to click on their ads, they should have put a really hot girl on there instead of that guy.

When was the last time you saw ads on a video game's website?
I mean, for the company's other products sure, but Bank of America and Tsunami aid? wtf.

All this fuss about adverts... it's the new age, get used to it. You may not like it, but you can try hard to not let it bother you.

No, no, this is actually game-related. It's a teaser for the upcoming expansion paid for entirely with ad-revenue. There really is a powder you can apply to your equipment to make switching weapons faster. And want more stamina for a quick sprint accross that field? Look no further than the exciting new Vault Energy Drink unlock.
Instead of gaining the new unlocks through points or NS-style awards, the new unlocks are fun and easy to aquire! Each hour spent looking at a billboard results in one unlock credit. This doesn't have to be consecutive, so just do it when you can. Pausing to reload? Why not consider that awesome looking Discovery channel ad? Looking for a good place to put that IDS or PDS? Well, consider that such amazing technology wouldn't even be possible without the power of Intel Inside.
See a particularly good ad to stare at? Of course, you do! Now you can use the radial menu to call out good ones for your teammates to look at. "Great ad spotted!" "You have to see this!" Unfortunately, for space concerns, this replaces the ability to spot infantry. But don't worry, the rest of the voice options got an overhaul too! "Greasemonkey! I need some Genuine NAPA parts!" "Medic! After being shot, I could use a dose of Drezoprene, though side-effects may include..." You get the idea.

Jesus is my co-pilot, but he never uses the TV missiles. I don't even think he knows they're there.
He's just waiting for you to line-up a good shot for Him. Remember to nose-up so He can get a clean shot.
Wait, after a quick prayer He's explained that He is just not interested in the TV missile because He says we already have TV bombs in our family rooms which are so much more effective than missiles.

Dude, this is disturbing and hilarious! Every time I read that line I break out laughing and everyone in the office turns to look at me... How do I explain?
I don't because I love my job... :yay:

You can. I've got plenty of flash ads blocked. :)
Open the blockable items menu, find the flash object (the type should be "object") middle click to make sure it's the right one, then right click to block it.

SETTLE DOWN EVERYONE! Geez, EA needs the ad revenue to pay for all the programming hours they spend on a bug-free game and to allow them to continue to charge us for expansions for the game universe. Those CEO's would go hungry if it weren't for Intel Inside, Coke, the only drink for leet pwner's and Gold Bold: The leetsauce Powder for your Equipment in the year 2142, BTW this ad was brought to you by Taco Bell. Just my $.02. :dead: Thanks EA for caring about gaming. :shakehead:
