Question about awards.

I'm pretty sure I understand how this works, but wanted to make sure.

Many of the various awards require doing something IAR as well as X number of hours played. Last night I got the Support Service bronze badge for 12 kills IAR. I actually managed to get 20 or more kills.

The sliver badge is for 20 kills IAR and 15 hours in kit. Does the 20 kills from last night count even though I don't have the hours played? When I looked at the BFHQ the sliver badge had the 20 kills IAR grayed out, so I assume that means I've already met that requirement.

No mate, you have to get the global hours/kills before the match, then when you have got them you can then go into the round and earn that badge.

eg: Silver Assault - 15 Global Hours as Assault, then 20 kills in a round.

You would have to get your 15 hours first, then when you have your required hours you go in the round and get those 20 kills as assault (this can be done in a vehicle or anything, just as long as you are using the assault kit)
