I ain't got a screenshot shot but if you throw two of them in a narrow corridor like inside the titan you can't see a damn thing through them.

Doesnt do a damn thing for corridor spam though.

Or worse, it just hinders your team in that you cant see them any more

Nice to see 1.4 is catching up with the CF2142 mod. Next I want to see jets like the CF2142 mod. May be EA will put real stuff in next patch !

I dunno. I can see slotting the smoke grenades for Titan work (attacking or defending) now that they put out more smoke than your average cigar.

On the battlefield, maybe not so much unless there's somebody else in the squad running assault, then you can have one with the smokes, and one with the rockets so long as they don't argue over who's going to get the kill power over who's going to get the cover power (which is great teamwork-wise, but doesn't confer any points for it's use).

This is why we need to be able to equip three items. Why should an addition to my weapon (like Herzog or PKs) keep me from hanging some smokes on my belt with my defib? :shock:

overpowered. Need I say, voss, pk, defib, herzog?
lambert, apm, cloak, AND RDX?

it shud actually be so that for example the standard *** rifles shud be able to have both pk and herzog thing and maybe the bauer with pk and voss with shotgun :P

No offense to you personally (I'm using you more as an example in this case), but I am always astounded by the common assumption by a majority of players that kits cannot change during a round, and that one must always be confined to a single weapon and configuration.

Here's an idea...adapt to the situation! If I'm playing Assault in the open field on a Titan map, my loadout might be Baur / Herzog / Defib with light armour. Then, at my earliest convenience when I go attack the Titan, expect me to be saddling up with Voss / PK / Post-1.4 Smokes and heavy armour. Each loadout above excels in the situation for which it will be used, so that's the one I go with.

Really, you don't need to confine yourself to one loadout the entire round, you can change as the situation that you're needed in does. It's a good idea to not limit yourself or your weaponry choices, but to let the battlefield conditions dictate what you go into the fight with.

I don't think it works like that. People who are playing with the new 1.4 say it works like the transports do... in other words:

1st Gunship is ready to go, guy gets in and takes off. Few seconds later, gunship 2 spawns, and another guy gets in and takes off. No more gunships spawn until either the 1st or 2nd one or both are destroyed (with, presumably, the usual time-of-death-to-respawn wait).

So, yeah, I don't think you'll get a screenshot showing 2 gunships crammed onto the Titan flight deck unless the players actually park them there manually.

When I titan attack, I bring along the Radar Smokey. It seems that attacking friendlies are too stupid to put up a PDS, and I prefer to play medic over support when I attack, so I need some awareness. If you throw it right, you can fill up the entire cargo bay/corridor with smoke. When I defend, normal smokeys win though. Awareness isn't as much of an issue, and the 50 support guys defending with me probably have an IDS up. Plus, if you have a support crate you can keep a corridor fogged up indefinitely :p

As for the Two Gunships... Not QUITE like the air transports. Almost, but not quite. Pretty much, first one takes off, and around 1/2 the time it takes for it to respawn (assuming it dies immediatly) the second spawns. Not like the air transport where it is instantaneous ;)

There will always be eccentrics that load out with different stuff.

Don't you yourself not use IDS as support?

Next I want to see jets like the CF2142!

People would Spam smoke nades all the time like that I guess.

Really liking the Smoke now, if they can't see me, they can't kill me. Probably.

I would like to see two smokes per fighter as a default like regular nades. I would not mind if they spam the smoke. Nobody dies from it anyway and it would make some pretty wild blind fire fights around flags. Also would be very invaluable getting away.

I'm all for smoke nades for everybody.

Love smokey battles, i let a smoke nade off into the vents on the titan last night, jumped in and took 2 guys out who were camping there! must av took em by surprise as no-one seems to use them nowadays!

OK so..... does the smoke still last for only like 3 seconds or does it last longer?
