I am getting the same error. I have the dvd version. I tried swapping my drives, making the dvd slave instead of master and it still did not work. Game installed fine, but won't start do to the please insert cd error.
lol make sure the path to the 2nd cd is right, it should say insert cd 2 in d:\ or some jazz just make sure its lookin in the right place, as in if u have the cd in drive e then change it to e:\
oo dvd man, its only 1 dvd right? sooo there shouldnt' b a insert dvd 2 message :)

I had this problem too (sorta). The game installed fine, but when I tried to play the game the first splash screen would come up and stay for about 1.5 min (DVD-ROM was active during this time) then I get the "Unsafe Removal Of Device" dialog box. But where it usually lists the device(s) you removed without stopping first, is blank.

Then I'd get the "Please insert install disk to play, click ok to restart."
I checked device manager and sure enough it had uninstalled my DVD-ROM.
Tried switching the DVD-ROM to slave and making my CD-RW master, but that did not change anything.
All of my other DVD's and DVD-ROM games still work.
I took the DVD version back to EB and exchanged it for the CD-ROM version, but I will still like to know if this has affected others and if a solution/workaround has been found.

I have a DVD version and mine installed great but when you put the disc in it auto launches the splash screen and then that 'please insert dvd blah blah blah' message comes up as if it's ignoring my drive. I think I may go switch my dvd copy for a CD version too and hope I have better luck.

EB did not want to exchange it for me, I had to convince the clerk it was a problem with the game and not my PC, he still wanted to just give me another DVD version after that.
I tried to tell him it was most likely a problem with the copyright protection, but he didnt really know anything about it. He finally agreed but I had to do allot of talking.
I miss the old EB policy when you could just take a game back for any reason within 14 days and exchange it or get a refund.
