View Full Version : Server requires Unmodified Content??

I did the reinstall thing because I was having bad problems with the red teammate thing.
Well since then several servers(Zboard Atlanta for sure) I've attempted to join gave me "Server requires Unmodified Content" and kicked me back to the browser screen. This is a base install with only pbweb updated.
Could it be these servers have not updated PB an its seeing the new version as 'modified?'
I've even attempted to reapply the patch an then could not join ANY server.
Just curious as to if anyone else had seen this.

You should uninstall again, make sure everything is removed (the Battlefield 2 folder). Than reinstall and it should be solved.

I've already reinstalled 3 times now.
Now it appears that every server I try works fine. Since I'm back to v1 the browser sucks again so everytime I refresh it seems I get a totally different set of servers so now I cant even see the one Zboard server I know was giving me the error.

have you modified any folders? For example turning off movies or having a crack to not use CD these will cause this problem.

I get that message every now and then. No modified files or anything. I've reinstalled the game, etc. It's just an annoying random thing. I can even be playing on a server for awhile then out of the blue when a new map loads, it says that and I get disconnected, heh. It happens when you click "click to play".

I am seeing this behavior also. I tried opening a case with EA, but that has proven to futile. All they can tell me is reinstall, update punkbuster, replace the CDs, etc, etc.
I have reinstalled twice, and am seeing this behavior before and after installing the patch, and even after manually updating the Punkbuster client. Like the others in this thread, I can play several rounds on a server, then as it changes maps, I get kicked with the server does not allow modified content message.
I have repeatedly asked EA to allow me to talk to a developer or engineer that can explain what the server is checking during the connection phase, but they consitently ignore me and send me a useless email suggestion each day. I guess they are counting of me giving up and going away so they can close the case.
Does anyone else have an idea why we are seeing this?

I played with it some more. I think its just different servers update different ways. On Sat I must have uninstalled/reinstalled/patched 6 different times. If I never updated PB I had not probs other than getting kicked for pbcl error from time to time. If I manually updated PB using pbweb is when I would get the modified content error.
On another note after updating PB I even found a few servers that were running an old version as PB politely told me every 5s PB VERSION IS OUT OF DATE.
I'm back running patched version an will attempt to stay like that since its just a PITA to find a good server on unpatched client.

Thats really strange, because I was getting the errors before I installed the EA patch and after, as well as before the manual update tp PB, and after that as well.
If what you suggest is true, then it does not explain why I can connect to a server, play several rounds, then at the map change it shows the "modified content" error. If it had a issue with the percieved content change, then logically I should have received the error the first time I attempted connection.

True. I dunno then. With all the different servers runnin different patches an different versions of punkbuster its really a wonder we can even play.
Oh wait the lag last nite was so bad on every server I tried that I just gave up after an hour. :(

I have had this problem since I uninstalled and reinstalled to roll back from that patch.
I spent 17 minutes with a tech support (har har) guy and all I could get from him was "well do not modify any of the files. As far as I know no-one else is having this problem".
The conversation became even funnier when I mentioned the "There is a problem with your connection" disconnects. All I could get from him was " You need to open the ports for the game to connect. If you have then please contact your ISP because it is not EA's problem." It did not matter if I had removed my firewall or opened up a DMZ on the router (it is now closed it was opened just to test).
It is bad enough the state of the game on release and the patch fiasco, but when they (EA) also employ muppets that do not know a damned thing about PC's to man thier Tech Lines. Originally I contacted them about the Original files crap and mentioned the others in passing, boy what a mistake !

I had the same experience. My 6 year old is more knowledgable. At least he listens and comprehends what is being said.
I hit a dead end last night with them, here is a post I put in another thread about this:
I too have the problem, but it is intermittent and occurred both before and after the patch.
I opened a case with EA and they basically told me to F#@k off, after responding through email only, once a day, with responses like "update the punkbuster client" and "resinstall the game". All of which I had already done, and made point to state so in previous emails to them. The last email was last night stating "we are sorry you are having trouble, you can return the game."
They refuse to escalate this to someone who can address it, like a developer, and it cewrtainly looks like they could care less, even with the growing number of people having thi issue.
Sorry guys, i tried, looks like we will have to live with it.

OK, I have a small "update".
I finally got the Black hole of tech support to agree to elevate this issue to the developers, since I told him that there are a growing number of people with this issue. Now whether or not it gets addressed is another issue. If I hear anything about it being addressed, I will post it here.

The \Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects_client.zip is not getting updated when you run the patch. The updated file should be 510 mb with a modification date of 6/28/05, the original file has a size of 511 mb created on 5/23/05. I have verified this myself twice now. Here is what I did.
- I Redownloaded the patch
- Uninstalled the game (Using the EA supplied unistaller in the Start\All Programs\EA Games\Battlefield2\Uninstall Battlefield 2, NOT the Add/Remove programs)
- REBOOT
- Install the game
- REBOOT (Dont load the game)
- Reinstalled the patch
I have been playing every since. I forgot how fun the game actually is.
GOOD LUCK!!!

I get this as well:
"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current official version to join"
The patch 1.02 has applied OK (manually)
Tried deleting the cache files.
PBweb updated
I can sometimes get into servers, but 80% of the time I get the error.
Very frustrating.

Hi guys,
let's get right to the point, i had this problem as well, and all ea could tell me was to completely (manually) deinstall the game and install again
EA: Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts. Im sorry for the difficulty that you are having with Battlefield 2.
You may have to perform a manual uninstallation of the game and then download and/or reinstall the patch again.
You can manually uninstall the game by removing the files and registry keys associated with it. Be sure to follow these steps exactly as they appear to prevent accidental file/program deletion on your system.
To delete the save files:
1. Open My Documents.
2. Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
To delete the game files (in the default location):
1. Open My Computer.
2. Open the C drive.
3. Open the Program Files folder.
4. Open the EA GAMES folder.
5. Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
6. Close all open windows.
7. Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
To edit the registry and remove Battlefield 2:
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click on Run.
3. Type regedit in the text field.
4. Click File and then choose Export.
5. Name the file Backup and make sure the Export Range is set to All.
6. Click Save; you will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.
7. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
8. Click the plus sign next to Software.
9. Click the plus sign next to DICE.
10. Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
11. Click the plus sign next to Electronic Arts.
12. Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
13. Click the plus sign next to Microsoft.
14. Click the plus sign next to Windows.
15. Click the plus sign next to CurrentVersion.
16. Click the plus sign next to Uninstall.
17. Right-click and choose Delete on the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B}.
18. Close the Registry Editor.
Battlefield 2 should now be completely uninstalled. If anything appears to be working incorrectly after editing the registry, simply double-click on the Backup file on your desktop to restore the old registry
SOLUTION:
I tried this at least 3 times and everytime i could join a single (random) server, and after disconnecting from the first i couldn't join any others. I figured that that first server was doing something to my battlefield.
So i tried making the entire battlefield 2 folder read-only (including sub folders and files) and this works fine for me, haven't had any problems since.
if you want to patch, patch first and then make it read-only.
Btw i tried some others forums as well and it seems especially people with amd 64 procs to suffer from these problems (like me)
anyone else with amd 64 and this problem? (except for amstel :) )

1) you have tampered with your BF2 files. Yes i'm sayin nothing!
2) Your installation of BF2 is corrupted!

Thanks AKA__47, good post.
I was wondering about the AMD 64 idea, it could well be linked to that processor.
I like your suggestion about making the BF2 folder read-only. I will try that when I get back from Germany and Hungary, where I am working for the next 2 weeks.
I will post back here my findings.
Unless EA have fixed it by then (yeah right!).

Amazing it took this long for someone to finally say this. :(
As far as the installation being corrupt. Then why do some servers work fine yet others have problems? Are those servers corrupt?
greatwhiteshark you maybe a good guy but the thread actually had people attempting to help each other until you posted. I'm pretty sure those of us having the problems are not all software pirates.
BTW I too have an A64. Have reinstalled several times an still have the problem with some servers. I see that thread posted above me talks about this too. Will give it a try tonite an see what happens.

I have the same problems. 90% of the time it's ok, then a server (sometimes on a map change after 2 hours of good play) will kick me with the same (false) accusations that I am running modified content.
This happened with both the 1.01 and 1.02 patches.
System: AMD64 3200+, 2x Asus EN6000GT, 4GB RAM, Asus A8N-SLI m/b, WinXP. Had same problems with 2GB ram and a single graphics card.
Clean re-install of BF2 doesn't fix. Sometimes a reboot helps, sometimes not. After 1 server kicks me, others will let me in (even other servers by same provider)
I overclock the system sometimes, but with/without makes no difference. My system is pretty stable (no CTD in BF2, prime95 runs for hours).

I've got a 2.8 GHz Xeon, not an opteron. Have uninstalled and reinstalled about 4 or 5 times now. Sometimes the patch runs, sometimes it doesn't. (Interestingly, the current patch seems to be getting stuck on Objects_Client.zip). Whenever I start up, I get the unmodified content error. I guess it's better than the CTDs I was getting earlier.
Edit: It seems that the patch is actually just randomly failing wherever it pleases. Awesome.

A corrupted file does not mean that you have a virus or have messed around with the content per say, "BUT" it dose mean that "a" or more than one file has been changed from it's original purpose, from the programs original intention.
(more than likely that one has copied the same programme to the same hard drive more than once. The same files have been over written and/or duplicated and the program dose not know where to draw the information it needs from or where to send information to)
A full uninstall of the program in question will more than likely solve this dilemma.
Now we have got that out of the road we can concentrate on the original post/issue "Server requires Unmodified Content" posted by sithloard, the server Zboard Atlanta has a different version of either Punkbuster and/or patch running than the player trying to join the server.
This will settle down when the BF2 patching has compleated to an amicable state for all.
You will get different servers running different patch versions and different versions of Punkbuster as neither are streamed to the servers or when a player connects to the net.
Rather than you all "POSSIBLY" thinking that you all have the same problem why not treat yourselves as individuals and post a Q in http://forums.totalbf2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73 (http://forums.totalbf2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73) to be dealt with separately.

Kelloggs, I posted this on another thread. it worked for me although I get the "server requires unmodified data" error about 10% of the time. And yes am on a AMD64.
So, I was having this problem :"server only allow unmodified version....etc" I took what UK.D-Hirogen says about PB possibly being the problem.
Steps I took:
Full uninstall, including profiles etc in "My Documents" folder.
Full install.
Go to Punkbuster website and do as they say. (Download PBWEB.exe to PB folder and install).
Then run the 1.02 patch.
Bobs your uncle, well at least now in the patchlog.txt it's now saying "Applying HISTORY File Patch for 'mods\bf2\Objects_client.zip'
Updating ...
Updating to next version ...
File successfully Updated!
Which is what Hirogen seems to think is the problem (my symptoms same as his but now fixed)
So now I'm about to try that. If no post from me soon, then it must have worked

Part of the patch was to fix the multiplayer issues and you did the following several times.
You can't patch over a patch over a patch you may get away with it twice but its not recommended doing the patch more than once,...as it will cause conflict of files.

This may apply to you Corporal Taylor and others. (try and read between the lines of the following).
You have corrupted files m8 the patch did not know which BF2 file to install to therefore you had to do it manually.
(you probably have had problems with the game before now and left some files in your drive) If I were you i would manually delete all bf2 files and reinstall)
I would look into it m8 if you want the game to run properly!
If you get "patch failed error" this could mean.....
1) Your download, of files for the patch, did not complete properly. (re download the patch and save it in a new file (renamed) then run.
2) Somewhere in installing, your bf2 game program files and/or the dl of the patch have become corrupted (for best results reinstall the game and re-download the patch)
3) You did not have enough space on Hard Drive for patch.
Then/now......Install punkbuster file ..... How to http://forums.totalbf2.com/showthread.php?t=16656 (http://forums.totalbf2.com/showthread.php?t=16656)

Have you got your HD partitioned?
A) If not and you are just using C: to store all, then uninstall 1) BF2 files, 2) all patch files 3) all punkbuster files
the way you have done in the past.......
Then use the "windows" search tool hunt out and "kill" delete all 1) BF2 files, 2) all patch files 3) all punkbuster files found on this C: drive.
If you have found any files that still exist on your hard drive "after" uninstalling them the way you have done in the past using windows search tool then IMHO you are half way there to solving your problem.
B) If you "have partitioned your HD" then do the above for all partitions of your HD.
It's a long winded way but better than a fresh start "wipe/reinstall" for your HD.

This work for my friendS
1. uninstall the game manually:
You can manually uninstall the game by removing the files and registry keys associated with it. Be sure to follow these steps exactly as they appear to prevent accidental file/program deletion on your system.
To delete the save files:
Open My Documents.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
To delete the game files (in the default location):
Open My Computer.
Open the C drive.
Open the Program Files folder.
Open the EA GAMES folder.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Close all open windows.
Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
To edit the registry and remove Battlefield 2:
Click on the Start button.
Click on Run.
Type regedit in the text field.
Click File and then choose Export.
Name the file Backup and make sure the Export Range is set to All.
Click Save; you will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.
Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click the plus sign next to Software.
Click the plus sign next to DICE.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Click the plus sign next to Electronic Arts.
Click the plus sign next to EAGAMES.
Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
OR If you dont have electronic arts folder
Click the plus sign next to EAGAMES.
Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
Click the plus sign next to Microsoft.
Click the plus sign next to Windows.
Click the plus sign next to CurrentVersion.
Click the plus sign next to Uninstall.
Right-click and choose Delete on the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B}.
Close the Registry Editor.
2. Delete Installshield Entry
Open program files\Installshield Installation Information
If you can't see the folder, UNHIDE ALL HIDDEN FILES and FOLDERS
then
delete
{04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B} folder
3. Delete Temporary FILES
click start ... run ... and type in temp
delete all the files and folders there
click start ... run .... and type in %temp%
delete all the files and folders there
4. INSTALL THE GAME IN SAFE MODE
5. BOOT up to normal mode and update punkbuster manually!
go to battlefield 2 link
click download on software update
under PunkBuster (BF2) Security Files
right click on For Players Filename: pbsec.htm and save target as...
save it to program files\battlefield2\pb folder
PunkBuster (BF2) Player Client Files
right click on PB Client v1.199 for Win32 Filename: wc001199.htm and save target as...
save it to program files\battlefield2\pb\htm folder
right click on PB ClientA v1310 for Win32 Filename: wa001310.htm and save target as...
save it to program files\battlefield2\pb\htm folder
6. Boot up to SAFE MODE AGAIN and INSTALL the 1.02 PATCH
do not install the 1.01 patch!
this method worked like charm for several people i know! :)

right click on For Players Filename: pbsec.htm and save target as...
save it to program files\battlefield2\pb folderyou mean, "program files\EA GAMES\battlefield2\pb folder" right? somebody might get confused by that.. maybe... :|:
edit: okay installed the patch successfully in safe mode! however, now the game crashes right after it welcomes me to duty. i noticed in my, "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Local" it only lists a default folder and not any of my profiles, but im not sure if the game profiles are supposed to be listed there anyway.. somebody check.

2 of my clan members and friends are having this exact problem. Everything was ok until they ran the patch. They got this error. They changed NOTHING in thier game folders or files. All they did was install the 1.02 patch. Hell, from what I read 1/2 of the people that try to install the patch get the Patch Failed error.

no need of safe modei think safe mode helps just because that way you dont have to worry about shutting down back ground programs you can just install and go. as for that link.. "You dont have to do ANYTHING with punkbuster....dont even try or you will mess up your hash check." that part scared me, im going to delete what i added to the pb/htm folder and see if that helps..
other wise, i give up and im just not going to play until they patch this ***** up real nice.

To tell you the truth m8 this idea crossed my mind the other day.
Sorry but the md5 thing doesnt work, its interesting but thats all it is. You'll never get 0 errors since the patch will never complete. Also if my Bro can play with no 'Unmodified Content' errors and i copy his directory as advised by EA, surely i can play too? NOPE didnt work.

My drive isnt partitioned. What do you mean use windows search? What file name(s) or extensions am i searching for? Or do you mean something else?
Have you when you finaly managed to log in change all your in game vid settings to lowest (then try)
Then increase one at a time untill the problems come back.
Did I ask if you have had and/or deleted the BF2 demo? Do delete, if you have!
Do the following "after" uninstalling BF2 the way you would normally........
START > My Computer > Top left you will see a magnifying glass with search (click) > all files and folders > put in the file name > battlefield < AND after you have searched for that do a separate search for > bf2 < (for bf2 files folders) > now/also where it says "LOOK IN" click the down arrow and highlight local hard drive, C: > search > any files folders? > make a note plz and tell me of any that you have found > delete any that have been found.
Also Look for > bf2patch v 102 < AND > bf2patch v 101 < for the 2 patches.
Also Look for > pbweb < and > PB web updater < to delete manual punkbuster update files
You can cut and paste the search in-between the > < don't change spelling.
Now reinstall the game the 1.02 patch (and run) and finaly the files PB (and run) follow my instructions on page 2 of this post for the instalation of them. but plz note :-
In answer to your PM to me...about :-
Did you follow these rules ? (you must reboot when asked)
- Uninstall the game
- REBOOT
- Install the game
- REBOOT (Don't load the game)
- Reinstall the patch
- Reinstall Punkbuster
I think you may know that when changing altering adding and/or deleating some programs for all the effects to take place (work) you need to reboot when asked or if say you have uninstalled BF2 and not rebooted, but have reinstalled the game then rebooted there is a huge risk of over righting files and getting corrupt file messages.
And finaly try the game.
Edit ...PS i have had a 11th hour thought that you could work the Windows "system restore" and role back to when BF2 worked for you and work from there.
But on a selfish point of view i would love to find out what is causing your problem as it will help others!

Ok here is how I finally fixed my problem.
After just random discconects because of the modified content I noticed a pattern. The times I was getting disconnected was when I was attempting to connect to certain maps.
http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3356
Following this threads advice I ran the md5 checks an sure enuff the maps I was getting disconnected from were the ones that failed.
So I uninstalled then reinstalled, ran the patch an ran the md5 check. Now different maps were corrupt. Looked at the patchlog.txt in My Documents/BF2/dmp an the same files that failed the md5 failed to patch.
This time I deleted the corrupt files then copied the bf2 dir to another drive. Then uninstalled an reinstalled AGAIN. patched checked the log saw a couple of failed files ran the md5 an they matched with the patchlog. Luckily they were different files than last time. I copied over the files from my backup. Reran the patch an all files were then fully patched. Ran the md5 again an the only thing that failed was Objects_client.zip. BUT the patch did patch it.
Finally! I have now played several days with no problems and I've tried every map. Hopefully this will help out some folks. Yeah its a PITA but it works. I've also made a copy of the working BF2 dir so when the next patch hits I shouldnt have any problems.

Thanks for the update m8 i will give this a go since ive tried everything else. I hate to spoil a good test before ive tried it but maybe you got lucky. Of all the times ive installed and patched ive only ever seen Objects_client update once. Though i am curious how your able to play when that file failed the .md5 check .... The last, most successfull attempt i had everything showing fine except 1 map and Fonts.zip, joined a map that had patched and passed .md5 and still got the error.
I'll post back here when ive tried this, glad you got your game sorted m8 and cheers for the post.

One or two things m8:
You say you patched, checked log etc..... That means you get no 'Patch Failed' error's at all and didnt run it from the command prompt during the process you went through?
Ive found that the command line patch, and the .exe patch can produce different errors and say different things are correct. I patched by command line first and got two errors, Kubra dam and Object_client.zip. Same errors show on md5 check. Then i ran the .exe patch and another md5 check, this time Kubra dam passed but Strike at karkand failed.
I will test this tomorow and use the .exe patch as the correct guideline, but sometimes i have to keep running from command to get the .exe to take :(

I always used the .exe patch. Cause it creates that patchlog.txt so I could go back an look an see what screwed up.
When it finally did work for all maps the patchlog.txt showed no patch failed errors at all.
Object_client.zip seemed to always fail the patch then finally I got it to show up as File Patched. But it still failed the md5 check but all the other files passed that an the game plays fine. So I dunno what the deal is with that one file.

Sorry to be a pain m8 but its important if im gonna get this to work: You never had patching failed from the .exe? And if you did, did u keep running it until it passed or copy the directory to keep the files that were working? And then did you re-install?

Hi Sithlord and Hirogen. (sorry to but in)
In my past experiences "zip" files proved to be hit and miss when down loading and then unzipping.
I now try to steer clear of them when poss. I know and you do also know (i guess), the pros and cons of zip files, but it looks like Zip has reared a bug in the unzipping of the hotfix 1.02 patch i'll add the intel you two have discoverd to my post.

I think your prob is different, you were getting kicked because your files werent updated. Ive just done your method and it works sweet, except you have to be able to update Obejcts_client.zip in the first place.
I had done an installation and it failed a couple of times so i copied the folder and re-installed as you said. The new installation + patch only failed on one movie file so i copied this over and ran the patch. For some reason when i ran the md5 it passed the movie file but picked up an error in Fonts_client. This isnt new to me, ive seen it when ive supposedly patched all files properly through command then ran the .exe over it somehow it messes with the fonts file. Anyway i chose to ignore it and went to play (Since both the command line + the patch.log gave a clean sheet for everything including Fonts_client), i got through two maps then got kicked with the old 'Unmodified Content'. So i ran the md5 checks again and this time every single file was sweet ... so why kick me? And how comes all of a sudden Fonts_client now passes the checksum?
EDIT: Not a punkbuster problem, pb updated in-game no probs at all.
My game is fully patched to 1.02 reading green lights across the md5 checksum's, i'll do some more testing tomorow but i dont think this problem is gonna go away :(
One thing i'll add though, i never used to be able to update Object_client at all. For those with the same probs you need a clean installation and run the 1.00 md5 check, if it passes then it can be updated, otherwise your wasting your time. Keep updating a passed 1.00 version and sooner or later it will take. Today i got it to update 3 times in a row :hmm: whereas a day or two ago it simply wouldnt have it.

I had the same problem with my AMD64 computer... I fixed it recently. I looked at the MD5 hash check and the log online and there was like 29 -32 errors. How I fixed it is I installed the game on my AMD XP 2400+. I played it without the patch and everything worked. So I took a chance and patched it with the Patch File from 3d Gamers. Everything worked on that. So I transferred the files over my wireless network into my original folder, did the hash check again, and I only got errors for RendDsx2.dll and all those small spd files ( or whatever they are) in the base directory. Played it online with my AMD 64 3400+. It loaded up all the online levels, but there were graphical errors. Like the Helos looked like mardi gras. I tried to play it today and now it crashes mid-load. Somewhere between collisions and geometries. Im going to try to reinstall on my AMD XP and see if I can get it to work.
Its not just BF2 Ive had problems installing... Ive tried installing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, World of Warcraft and Act of War (which doesnt work PERIOD). They all had the same type errors. I think there is something screwy with my Processor or memory.

**Update**
When i said everythings green across the board on md5 i was ignoring 1 file. The reason i ignored this error is because punkbuster has been updated since the patch so it stood to reason it would fail the md5 check. The 1 error i get is "pb\pbcl.dll - Failed checksum" and thinking about this now, ive seen it before, and thought the same back then.
But i remember asking my Bro to run an md5 check on his patched, working 1.02 game and he said he got no errors ..... Can anyone confirm this, maybe the Great White shark or Sithlord would be kind enough to run another md5 check on their game, or anyone else? - I use the md5 tools here http://bf2.fun-o-matic.org/index.php/ClientMD5 to check mine, pls post what you use incase its different, this also could be an issue.
pbcl.dll makes me think of "Punk Buster Client", now if this fails the checksum then this could be the core of my problems (Since the punt for 'Unmodified Content' comes directly after verifying client data), and other peoples too if they manage to get their game fully patched and still have problems.
My punkbuster updated in-game to the latest version, i havent touched my PB directory or done any manual updates etc ...

Ive found its not related to maps, i joined on Oilfields play'd a bit, came out to change my controls, went back in and got the 'Unmodified Content' error. By this time tho PB would have updated and that .dll now fails the checksum, thats why i thought id found the prob :hmm:

Yep just run the pbweb.exe it wont put in the files that exist already for PB but should put any in that are missing (you should run the PB pbweb.exe regally as Punkbuster regally updates sometimes weekly sometimes monthly)
It will not now, take you long to uninstall BF2 all PB pb and patch, to do a reinstall of the game then the patch.
Then DL the "PB .exe" save it to pb file, in the main game program, then double click on "pbweb"....... "Punkbuster .exe" and just let it run. (It will take some time to run)
If this helps.
These are the files listed, that get put in to the pb file (in the main program file not in the pb file in My Documents) some before, and the rest after running PB .exe.

1.2 was fine, then it started CTD in the middle of map loads everytime, so I went to re-install it, and now I have the modified content message every time. it makes me sad :( I just want to play.....but instead I will spend the whole night just trying to get the game to work again.

Oh dear :(
Im doing as much testing as i can coz i think i can help with a fix, i can join a game without getting the error but it does crop up now and again. I play'd all night tonight and only got the error once, thats no worse than a standard CTD. And if im right i might even be able to get no errors, but im not doing anything to my current install without more testing.
I'll post back a.s.a.p but for now, the way to start is with the md5 checks and the info Sith Lord posted.

this is interesting, i can only play on gamecenter servers... all others give me modified content bs.
I have the same problem as you guys.
I bought Battlefield 2 this week. The update never works (1.01 and 1.02) with both I get the "patch failed" error. I also have the "server requires unmodified content" message. So I mailed EA and all the do is tell me that I have to manually remove Battlefield 2 and re-install it and again and I sould try to udpate Punkbuster. I tried that more then five times and it doesn't help **** :hmm:
So I saw an topic on http://forums.eagames.co.uk about MD5 or something. So I used that program and a friend of my 2 (we got the dutch version so I couldn't really use Wiki) and we soon saw that I had 8 files other than him. So he send me the files and I launched the game again. This time I had version 1.1.2484.0 and not version 1.0.2442.0 like last time. Also there were a lot more servers in my list, twenty times more than before.
But now I get the "server requires unmodified content" whith every server I try  I'm really getting sick of it.
That friend of my is now going to send me all the maps (he also sended me objects_client.zip over MSN, the files is over 500mb :p ) and I hope that will work. If not, I think I have to wait for patch 1.03. I'm NOT going to re-install Battlefield 2 again, I did that 10 times and I think that is enough. The only thing I do can try is to install the patch in Windows Safe-Mode, but I don't think that'll work either.
Good job EA!

If you can run advanced sum checker identify which files are causing you the errors manually replace these files with good files from your mate once he sends them. I did this firstly for the straight install (v1.00) then I ran the patch (V1.02) then ran sum checker and again manually replaced any files giving errors. At this stage the only file that gives me an error over and over that i cant seem to copy across in its true form is that farking file Objects_client.zip. However, i cant atleast join some servers now without unmodified content error. Until I replace that file correctly (Ojects_Client.zip) and get no check sum error with that file I'll be kissing that farken unmodified content error good bye. I'm hoping Hirogen may have an answer for me soon on how to get this file copied or replaced Ok. *Salutes* Join me to the ranks who are having this problem. I uninstalled, reinstalled, reinstall patch, etc., ect., ect., ect. and nothing works for me either. I played the demo with no problem, bought the game two days ago, and I'm kicking myself because the FREE DEMO was better. I got into one server for about an hour before I was booted. $53 bucks w/ tax for this, you better believe I'm pissed. Disappointed also because the game seems awesome. I've been looking for my war game fix since I quit the equally wonderfully developed WW2Online. While looking for answers found this post about it, just thought I'd bring it back to the top.

I even tried 2 different backup sources, Norton Ghost and Windows backup. This sucks, you can't even backup the game when it is working, then restore it after it breaks and expect it to work again. Guess i'll start the md5 thing now.....

Ok guys i can now play 99% of the time, ive play'd the last three nights and had the error twice whereas i couldnt join a game at all before. I think i know why i got it these two times and this wont affect my solution for you guys since i think its just me being totally unlucky.
I'll be posting a lengthy solution tomorow. Peeps like Kellogs will have to go through pretty much what i did to the letter, but ive found this error to vary in its severity so alot of you will be able to skip steps, for example some of you have never seen the .exe 1.02 patch fail at all (Sith Lord never had to run the command line patch).
Unfortunately it wont be user friendly, i'll be assuming peeps know their way around a computer. One thing i can clarify right now is that this error is not a punkbuster problem, ive double checked with the BF2 PB admins and most of their files are externally verified, the client data must be game specific.
I'll post what ive found tomorow and hopefully it will help, it'll take some time to put together and ive been playing BF2 alot recently to make up for lost time

While im typing my guide out m8 try a few installations, you may need to try alot to be absolutely sure thats its not your disc.
The errors should be random, now and again the Objects_client.zip should pass the 1.00 md5 check. Sometimes you will get an error in the movie files, or the map files, but you need to make sure your installation errors arent constant. I would say me + Kellogs have the most severe problems, but id also assume that like mine, Kellogs installation would vary in its 1.00 md5 errors.
Its worth mentioning that im using my Bro's disc, he has installed and patched with no problems at all, but when i install i still get random 1.00 md5 errors.

Its not the md5 summer that returns random results, it cant, it checks a specific hash code against your installation files. If it is returning different results on the same installation (1.00) without you modifying the files, thats a different problem entirely.

***UPDATE***
Well, i got it fixed for now, wrap your head around this one -- it dosent like my hard drive.
my fix - copied all of the disk contents to my "g" drive, installed to g:/battlefield 2, got all green lights, updated pb, then deleted pbweb.exe, did cmd line patch, all patched but pbcl.dll (pbweb must have put on newer version than is in patch), fired it up and it works.
I do not know why I would get those 2 files corrupted everytime on my c drive. I will start testing it for sure to make sure drive is not bad, but it is only a few months old, and has a 2 month old windows install on it. I don't get it.

finally fixed my modified content errors! pretty simple actually, all i did was...
1: uninstall the game..
2: install the game and write down any files that give you an MD5 error (also write down where they came from if you need to, for example the "client.zip" in my karkand folder gave me an error)..
3: install the .02 patch.. (when i did this, i got the "failed patch" error but instead of doing something logical like uninstalling the game and trying again, i just started the patch application .exe again as normal and tried installing the patch again right over it (without rebooting), and for some reason that worked).
4: after you have the .02 patch installed successfully, ask a friend (or whoever who has a working version of BF2) for the files that you got errors on..
5: place the files in the appropriate folder and you should be good to go!
worked for me but its a long shot and probably wont work for a lot of people.

that will work for everyone, all you have to do is get greenlights on all the important files and it will work. The game gives that message because it is checking the MD5 sums its self during the "validating client files" and those bad files are whats causing the error. If you can manage to get all green lights on the md5summer, then you are set. I just couldn't get 2 of them to work no matter what until i tried installing on my other harddrive. I am sure it would have worked if i had copied the 2 files that failed from another working source. Glad you are fixed, and we have this working solution.

its just corrupt files on your hard disk, who know how they got that way, probobly different for everyone. for me the game just dosen't want to install right on my Raptor. I played all night on the install i did on my other drive with no problems. If you got corrupt files, you get the error, its that simple. Replace the corrupt files with ones that md5 correctly and you can play.

Hi there!
I just registered to talk with you about this special issue. I also had (and sometimes still have) the "unmodified-content-problem" and solved it partly by using my Notebook for installing/patching the game.
But I think we only try to cure the symptoms - not the real illness our systems have to deal with. What makes the files not installing correctly while they do on other systems? Is it the chipset? The CPU? The RAM? I also use an AMD64-Plattform (funny coincidence, isnīt it?). You can find the specs in my sig. If we could find out, what causes the files not to be installed and patched correctly, the problem should be solved easyly i think....
BTW: Sorry for my poor english but I really try!

we need to find out why the files are becoming corrupt on transfer becasue the saemissue and long winded process awiats us when patch 1.03 is released. I still cant get objects_client.zip to checksum correctly and its giving me the ****s. So my specs are as follows.

I have an intel P4 2.4 / Asus motherboard with intel chipset so its not confined to AMD machines.
Your right about the other stuff but peeps have re-formatted their PC's and still get the error. Ive installed on 2 different harddrives, still get the error so its not my system disk. Alot of people have tested their RAM properly and have found no problems. My chipeset drivers are correct and up to date ...
Alot of people think they are getting this error for no reason, which is why its so hard to fix. I have a clean installation patched to 1.02 with ALL files passing the md5 checks but every now and again i still get the error. Someone else is getting the error because their patch failed, even though it sez it installed successfully, if they re-installed and patched properly they'd probably never see this error again (like Sith Lord).
Kellogs - You know i could never get my Objects_client.zip to update, once i figured it out it updated 3 times in a row by following two rules:
1. If it passes the 1.00 md5 check then it isnt corrupt, so it can be patched. You may have to install a few times to get one that isnt corrupt.
2. Keep patching via command prompt until it updates. This took me a long time but it WILL eventually update. Just keep running it. (I extracted EA's .zip 1.02 patch to the main BF2 directory)
Kellogs - Once you have an installation with at least Objects_client.zip patched you can re-install as many times as you need to replace the corrupt files. I would follow EA's method of uninstalling via registry etc every time, that way you dont have to copy the installation, just move it.
It only took me two installs. My first one was pretty clean, i only had 1 movie file failing the 1.00 md5 check. So i kept patching untill Objects_client.zip was done, on that installation the patch reported 0 invalid files. I moved the installation as a backup and uninstalled the game. My second install i got a few more errors but the same movie file wasnt one of them so i was sorted. I patched it, replaced the working files from my other install.
Because my luck sucks, after running the patch.exe over my installation, the md5 tool decided that i had 1 corrupt file, Fonts_client.zip. Both command and .exe patch reported no errors on this file so ignored it, been playing ever since m8. I get the error maybe once a day, i can live with that.
EDIT: LOGAN - I moved to BF2 from Nova's Joint Operations, i use to get the old multicoloured textures from time to time in that, i have only had it once in BF2 so far. Nothing i did when i was playing JO fixed it. Very annoying since my squad server and everyone elses who play's matches streams to punk buster, although punk buster will never punt / ban you for it, the ss's would not go down well with other squads. Weird though, because if it can happen and its not your fault, there will be people out there that can make it happen, and punk buster will do nothing about it.

Just thought I'd pop back over here an say that I'm still having this problem from even with a 100% md5 check.
I can play prolly 80-90% of the time with no problems at all. Then bam I hit a map that kicks me. I then hit another server thats got the same map and am able to play. I can later play on that server with no problems.
At this point I'm just happy to play most of the time. Im starting to think that its just some wierd combo of compenents that causes the md5 to fail sometimes, but honestly thats pure conjecture.

I have been playing with no problems since i got it working. As for the problems with it working 90%, I would just guess that it is a random problem with the way battlefield verifes the files, maybe it just isn't very dependable. I also have an amd64, BTW, but the problem seems localized to my hard drive. I may try to wipe my free space to see if the drive just keeps trying to install it to the same sector or something weird.

SithL0rd UK.D-Hirogen Hi m8's.
Just a thought, what windows OS files set up are you using..... Fat or NTFS.
Some times, Fat filing, can cause copying of program errors.
Especially if previously hard drive has had FAT imprinted and has not had zeros written to drive to cover the traces before installing, NTFS. Also vice versa.
Also partitioned hard drives C: might be NTFS and the HD space where BF2 game stored e.g. E: might be Fat may cause file / program errors.
Common denominators?? Where did you get the game from what country are you from what is the bar code on the back of the box.

What motherboard chip set do you have GreatWhite? Its a VERY long shot, but I have heard of some people having corruption problems with Raptors and the NCQ in the nForce 4 chipsets. I don't know if mine is on or not but will check it tonight. FYI --
"if you are using an nForce3 and drivers older than 6.37 (I know there is nothing above 5.10 on the site) do not enable CQ because there is a chance that your hard drive performance could drop by 60-85%, and for nForce4 owners, do not enable CQ if you do not have the 6.39 drivers (which enable CQ by default) or newer because all previous drivers (both 32 and 64-bit) cause data corruption on any hard drives with CQ enabled."

NTFS m8. My system drive has had multiple operating systems / formatted alot etc. because its my origianl disk from my first PC (My new 160gig drive failed recently). I dont know what you mean by 'righting zeros'. Im running WinXP Pro SP2.
I got an extra disk off my Bro, formatted it and thats where my BF2 is installed to, not my system drive. I have my page file on my system drive. My Bro is running BF2 on an old drive coz his system drive failed recently, and he doesnt have a problem, the drive im using for BF2 is probably about the same age.
I doubt the problem goes as deep as IDE channels, DMA settings on harddisk drives etc because XP picks most things up on install, and provides the correct drivers, older OS are a different story. Apart from that i have the latest motherboard drivers.
My Specs:
P4 2.4
Asus P4G8X Deluxe motherboard
4 x 256mb RAM / Dual Channel DDR ram PC2100
GeForceFX5700Ultra 128mb
OnBoard RealTek AC'97 Audio
Game - DVD from U.K (Ive also tried using my Bro's disc to install, same problem but he gets none)
Worth mentioning: As ive said my Bro has no problems. We built our PC's at the same time with almost identical components, the only thing thats different is he has a slightly faster processor, 2.6 i think. Other than software installed, personal windows configuration etc. our two systems are identical. Oh and we have different DVD drives. I have two drives, a new dual layer DVD burner updated to latest firmware and a not so new DVDRom, installations from both drives gives me the error.
If it helps i can post my current IDE setup and harddrive information.

OK - here are the specs of my sys additional to the specs in my sig:
- German DVD
- 2 x Samsung SP0812C Raid 0 at Silicon-Image Controller of my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe (both HDDs brandnew!!! They were changed one month ago on warranty.)
- No NTFS
- I run the 6.66 AMD Edition-Driver on my NForce4-Chipset
- No overclocking
- C&Q enabled
I think I can eliminate the DVD-Drive as problem because I tried to install the game from my Notebooks DVD-Drive (where it installs witout MD5-Probs) via Home-Network but I had MD5-errors on my PCs installation.
Hope we are really able to figure it out! :)
Funny thing: When I copy the files from my notebooks installation to my PC, it still changes their MD5-Values (espacially Objects_Client.zip).
EDIT: I just talked to a software-developer who works for the company I work at. He just had three words for the checksum-problem: "Too fast disks!"
That means the HDDs of our systems are too fast to write the files properly. Perhaps they would work in other maschines but the combination of motherboard/controller/disk is too close to the edge. Itīs just a suggestion of him but I think that would make sense. He means that perhaps you shouldnīt use the explorer but some old and slow progs like an old norton commander to slow the system down while copying the files.
I would say that means, that you have to add an old IDE-HDD and the Installation should work?!? Could someone verify that?

Fellas,
I've got a feeling that out problems are related to the ram/memory, ram timings or possibly old Via chipset. I recently put an extra 512 stick of ram in my machine prior to installing BF2 full install not demo. I'm going to take that particular stick of ram out and see if this makes much difference to the random checksum errors. What do ppl think, let me know fellas, Hirogen, Sithlord, White shark and Ice@BuFu :|:
Ice@Bufu - your argument about timings from DVD to hardrive has merit, however, how come Hirogen still had issues when using both CD and DVD install versions of the game (media issue) or is it more his rom-drive. However, I copied a good copy of Objects_client.zip file from mates harddrive via my motherboard to my harddrive and still didnt meet checksum following this transfer, hence, I'm starting to think its more a ram issue. :|:

Ice, read my post above yours m8, you dont really get any older than my system as it barely meets the minimum requirements to play. When i updated my DVD burner's firmware it reverted to PIO mode, you dont get much slower than that, ive fixed it now but i did several installs in PIO mode. Also my system drive is very old, i dont even remember when i bought my first PC so i doubt you get any slower than that. You could try setting the DVD drive and your harddisk to PIO mode (Doesnt use RAM or pagefile from what i know of it).
RAM - My game is working 90% of the time so this is the one thing i havent tested. But peeps with this prob have tested their RAM, with memtest bootable diagnostic, removing memory sticks and testing etc. and still get no joy. Someone on the EA forum suggested removing the memory sticks, put one in and install to see if you get the same installation errors / md5 failures. This is worth testing but before i did that id run memtest first.
EDIT: When i first came across this prob my Bro said its possible it could be a bad disk sector (But that would mean every installation would have to use the same file locations) or bad RAM because if you keep running the patch sooner or later it takes (Ive seen files update after 5 runs, 10 runs etc), it makes sense that after running the patch x ammount of times your system allocates it to a new memory location because you cant keep writing over the memory address. Hit a good memory location and the patch is successfull? Like i say my game works 90% of the time so i wont be doing any extensive memory testing, but post here with your results if you guys do :)

Japp - i just talked to someone at ASUS-Support Germany and he also said, that I should check my RAMs with memtest. I should let the test run through next night because it needs several hours to get reliable results, he said. I will do and weīll see what tomorrow brings...

Hirogen whats a good memory diagnostic programme - let us know and I'll test ram first before removing the additional stick I recently added.
Cheers Kelloggs :|:
Perhaps I'll wait on Ice@BuFu mem test results - let us know Ice@BuFu what your results are :|:

Yup thats the one, you create a bootable floppy / CDRom. One of the reasons i havent done it yet is the instructions suck and there is no support (freeware).
One thing that is starting to annoy me is EA coded for this error, they know EXACTLY what it means and what causes it, they have offered nothing to help.
As a programmer when i code for errors theres some that i know will arise, a proper try / catch block is coded for this with an appropiate message. When you code for errors you dont expect, you put stuff like 'shouldnt see this'. One BF2 error that reminds me of this is the 'Insane memory error message'. The error we get is a fully coded IN-GAME error message, not a crappy CTD popup warning.

...but now we know, what that error-message means: The MD5-Checksums are not equal to those written on the server. It would be nice, if they could say in that message, which files are corrupt but hey - I knew it would be better to ask the community after the first e-mail from EA-Support arrived in my mailbox. :D

Yeah, but you only have problems 5-10% of the time, do a trace route to your favorite server, and see how many devices you pass through to get somewhere, If the game is compairing your files to an md5 sum on the server, then that info has to go out across the net, 1 bad router passes 1 bad packet on your 20 hop journey and it will fail you, and give you the message. Then you reconnect, and try again and it passes. Or the game dosen't figure your sum right and sends faulty info and you fail. Maybe an ant farts and it wiggles a fiber line in China and the whole west coast loses its internet connection. Maybe the game is just buggy. Maybe it will get fixed in the next patch, but don't count on it. After cruising the support forums, we should be estatic when it works at a 90% level.

aehem - what can I say? I found the source for the error and itīs not EA/DICE! Memtest just started and the whole screen was red - I had to see, that one of my RAM-Modules was f*cked up at ~362 MB. :wall:
i threw it out of the system (will be changed on warranty) and installed/patched and checked: everything was green - even Objects_Client.zip. I tested to join and joined on the first sever I tried. On one side Iīm happy but on the other side Iīm angry about myself. I really thought my sys would be O.K. and didnīt even think about the sys causing the error. :wall: So if your MD5-Sums are corrupt - check your systems memory first! :)
I will test the other module this night and will exchange the broken RAM-module tomorrow. And m8s let me tell you one thing: BF2 with 512 MB is no fun at all!

What do you mean at 362mb? What was the results of the test, can we get a bit more detail m8? I have 4x256mb RAM chips so it will take an age to test each individual ... how does the test work with dual channel DDR or does it just treat them as individual?
EDIT: Also m8 what was your RAM configuration? Do you have to test one chip at a time? Dual Channel doesnt work properly if theres only one chip present ... any more info would be nice m8 :)

Itīs as easy as binding your shoelaces!
I downloaded "Pre-Compiled package for Floppy (DOS - Win)" LINK (http://www.memtest.org/download/1.60/memtest86+-1.60.floppy.zip) and unzipped it on my desktop. There is a readme-file in it so wonīt do anything wrong. Just insert a foppy-disk and doubleklick "install.bat". Then you leave the disk in itīs drive and restart your machine (make sure, your floppy-drive is first drive to boot from) and the test will start automatically.
When something getīs red - there is an error. It works with dual-channel RAMs.
After the first test I took one module out of the computer to see which one is broken (asked the motherbord-manual before, where to use only one module) and then I had a good and a broken module.
Then I left the module that had no errors in my system an did the installing/patching.

yeah, memtest 86 rules! I use it on all my overclocking endevers after I rack up the speed a notch, I let mem test run overnight to make sure it clears 100%

Hi buds,
Sorry, but.
Tooooo much to take in tonight, i'll catch up with you all tomorrow.
Ps I asked Gunny Highway to look in, in a PM. He's good, but not always around.
LOGAN

EDIT: LOGAN - I moved to BF2 from Nova's Joint Operations, i use to get the old multicoloured textures from time to time in that, i have only had it once in BF2 so far. Nothing i did when i was playing JO fixed it. Very annoying since my squad server and everyone elses who play's matches streams to punk buster, although punk buster will never punt / ban you for it, the ss's would not go down well with other squads. Weird though, because if it can happen and its not your fault, there will be people out there that can make it happen, and punk buster will do nothing about it.yea i jumped the gun a little bit on that one, when i played later that night on a different server the player models were fine.
and bad RAM sounds like a good theory, my RAM has been givin me a pain the *** lately. first i had a 512 stick but then i bought a 1 gig dual channel kit (512x2) and i was going to sell that extra 512 for a little extra cash but BF2 really benefits from having the extra ram so i decided to keep it. down side is, now that ive kept the "blacksheep" 512 stick (which is infineon, my new sticks are corsair. the timings and speed are the same though), on rare occasions ill get a BSOD and the system will reboot. it doesnt happen a lot but enough to warrant concern on my part, im assuming the random reboots are related to the RAM as ive exhausted all other possible causes for random reboots; that i know of. i tried running memtest to verify my suspision but couldnt understand the (very poor) instructions on their site. ill try what Fubu said tonight or tomorrow and see if i get any errors.Itīs as easy as binding your shoelaces!

I agree with Odd BAll on the files.
If the files are corrupt when loaded there is nothing that will fix it or get you past the error until the files are corrected.
My very first install was flawless, zero errors.
I played up to my present score and rank without a single CTD, or error of any other kind. Not one.
When I tried to install the first patch, 1.01, I got errors with the patch failing and all hell broke loose and I haven't played since.
I did manage to re install once, about the 4th time and continue playing un-patched.
No changes to my hardware and memory is fine, 1 gig (2x512) Kingston PC3200 CL3 400. All this on a very stable Gigabyte GA8-KNXP rev2 mobo, WDD 320GB 7200 RPM, SATA, Leadtek A400GT 6800 256 AGP, Creative Audigy 2 Value.
In my personal experience, 10 times now install and uninstalling this game, the Md5 errors I get always show up when the client.zip files are being copied from the various maps in the /levels/ folder, the 12 maps.
My last install went perfect up to the very last when I got an error with the ...movies\intro.bik file.
Sure enough, game would not load past 75% of the startup intro movie. (usually I hit ESC to bypass, but let it run to see if it would CTD)
I had saved to a hotswap drive, all the files in the bf2 folder, so I just copied and pasted that one in and it worked.
Updated PB and ran it no errors playing unpatched.
Not many unpatched servers left, so I tried the patch again as directed using the Patch Workaround from the cmd command.
Since then I can't join anything for the "...unmodified content. Please revert your version..." error.
Tried the PB update again, same error.
I have played all the maps in single player without any crashes, bugs or any problems, so I think the files are now complete somehow.
I just think my patching somehow corrupts some files when installing the patch.
Version is correct and patch gave the green light, but still won't run.
Long story short, I was thinking that since I have a huge amount of unused space and plenty of bandwidth available on both my company websites, I could host the original downloadable files for the levels and provide links for direct downloads to whomever needs them.
That way if someone gets the error on installation, they can note the file and download a good one to get it running.
I would, however, obviously need all 12 of the levels to be as they should be, uncorrupted.
I would offer this as a service for as long as it didn't lead to costing me a huge amount on my website bills. I am sure it might cure a lot of problems.
Does this make sense? Any ideas here?
I just wanna play, man!

...and memory is fine
You allready runned memtest on your machine? My system ran absolutely stable too and I had no CTDs or BSODs but big zip-files always were changed when written to disk - no matter of the source they were installed or copied from. So your uploaded files wouldnīt have helped me, because they would have been screwed up by my machine when written to HDD.
The MD5-Check (MD5 Summer) gave me 5 errors yesterday but those files are different from UK to Germany so I donīt care about it. Of course I have to see, if this "modified-content-error" is history now because I only joined once yesterday and had no map-change but I think it really was the RAM.
