does anyone know if EA is actively working on the 'there is a problem with your connection' disconnect that a lot of peeps seem to be randomly having (including me)?
I have tried all the workarounds.
One, updating pbweb.exe, does help but I am still getting random disconnects every so often, at least twice an evening (as opposed to every 10 mins before pbweb.exe) - on UK servers where my ping is showing always under 60. On other games, CS and W:ET I never, ever, get random disconnects like that.
Thanks

Does your internet connection drop at the same time as your disconnect from BF2 server error?

not sure what you mean?
Not sure about a temporary fluctuation, possible but very very unlikely given that
a) I have a 2meg line with a good ISP
b) all speed tests I do confirm my line speed up and down are as they should be
c) I NEVER randomly disconnect from any other online game in this way (not even BF:V)
But if you mean does my connection die, then no, I can immediately join another server (or the same server) from the in game server browser.

yeah, I get the same thing too. If I play for 2 hours on several different servers then there'sll be the odd disconnect.
It's the only problem that I've ever had with the game and know it's not just me as my mates on teamspeak all get cut off at the same time.
Out of the 2years ive had my cable modem, ive only lost connections twice, amazing huh...well i seem to getting that same problem too, quite annoying when its the last round and your top player about to win, when you lose connection

yes and I just ran EA's UOTrace programme.
on 130 packets no loss at all, except 100% loss on 'unknown.level3.net' - which I guess needs a password or summat.
Definitely a problem with BF2.
I have logged the problem, I strongly suggest everyone else does (including a dxdiag file and a copy of the UOTrace results), then maybe we will get some action.....
[as for now I have stopped playing BF2, way too annoying for an otherwise great game. I am waiting for the next patch or a solution to this problem from EA]
