Forgotten Hope Update

Forgotten Hope (http://forgottenhope.bf1942files.com) released 3 new skinned models of a Beretta 34, a M1A1 Bazooka, and a PTRS-41 for infantry buffs everywhere. The team also released in game screenshots of the Panzer III renders that were shown off last week. The screenshot was taken in the Battlefield 1942 engine, and the team promises it will look even better in the Battlefield 2 engine.

Tell me one ww2 shooter where you have tons of planes, vehicles, boats, huge maps and realistic features...? Besides the great models and skins.

All the good ww2 shooters out there is just the usual "corridor" run and gun, "great, now that i shot the 6 germans that are ALWAYS here on this level i have to go tru THAT door and then DO this and that´s it..." boring boring boring...

And so far i haven´t seen any ww2 shooter where you can play as American, Japanese, German, Brittish, Italian, Polish, Finnish, French and Russian with there own weapons, vehicles and voices... Not the usual lendleeze weapons (japaneses using german weapons, brittish using american weapons, etc...), you get what they used back then in FH and FH2...

You wished they used their talents to bring modern combat? You have Battlefield 2 and probably 10 other future mods for modern combat, like Point of Existence or Red Crucible. Seeing as this is a site totally dedicated to Battlefield 2 mods, if you really didn't have anything to say about this FH news release other than 'Too many WWII mods, I wish they would make a modern combat mod' then why would you even post about this particular news update. Why don't you just stick to the modern combat mod new updates?

so the bf2 version will blow any other ww2 mod away

No modern warfare, not at all.

They are the best artists around and very, very much into WWII which I think is great.

Somebody said all other WWII mods for bf42 were good but FH was awesome, I played them all and he is right, Forgotten Hope is indeed great. It's hard for a new guy because you have so much different weapons, maps, soldiers, vehicles, planes, ships but if you take your time to get to know all the equipment you have an awesome time in FH.

Now with FH2 on the horizon I am very curious about what we are going to see, one thing I know for sure is that it will be fantastic.

Great times ahead for WWII buffs/gamers.

Why? Its quality that matters, not quantity. And FH is frickin awesome. For me a must-have bf2 mod as well as Point of Existence and Op. Peacekeeper
