VRMag (http://vrm.vrway.com/) released 15 panoramic shots of BF2, giving us a whole new way to view screenshots of the game. These beautiful panoramas are full 360 degree views of several maps, and can be viewed in both Java and Quicktime.

No. You just need to grab a bunch of screenshots and then stitch them together (via some specialized software) on a cylindrical or spherical map (this one is spherical). It's not very hard, it's the same process that's done with photos. I'd say that on real modding games (q3, d3, ut2k4, hl2) you could automate the process with some commands to get the screenshots at mathematically right positions, but I don't think this is BF2's case.

its even sweeter when the software can stictch them to a .mov file and you can scroll around 360*'s. i've done that quite a bit with my Canon camera. pretty slick.
