This is my first test with the battlefield 2 engine and BattleRecorder. It is made up of many slow motions and visual effects. Tell me what you think!

Please put it in putfile, I don't want to download it. You will always get more customers/opinions if you benefit the crowd.

Just your opinion... but Putfile doesn't exactly make it that much easier. Still takes the same amount of time to download newb.

How'd you do that top-down zoom? And where's that music from?
Top notch stuff though. Great cinematographic eye! I see some very usable material in there.

Then I guess you dont get to see it huh? ;) Anyway, a download doesnt take too long. And the 10MB putfile restriction really kind of kills some videos. If somebody had an awesome video that was really long and full of great camera angles and effects, putting it into putfile might not even be possible because of the normal size. If it were possible it would only drastically decrease the quality because of the compression necessary to go down to 10MB. Oh and by the way, its an awesome Vid Mav, I really like the angles and effects that you did. Like the zoom down thing and the green lock on/zoom in thing.

wow, i got over 9 posts since the last time i checked this thread. Thanks for all your great reply's and im glad you liked it. Like i said, its just a test to see what can be done in the bf2 engine. As for the zoom, i did that in battle recorder, started really high and scrolled in using my entire arm ;o) used that footage in premiere and added a zoom (radial) blur to it to give the sense of faster speed. for the Green one, thats done in after effects using a combination of over 5 effects (zoom blur, saturation, colorize, displacement mapping, etc.) for the targeting crosshairs, its pretty much a still image that i animated with keyframes... sory if this is a bunch of chinese for all u guys but if you know anything about after effects, u will understand. Thanks again everyone, and you will be seeing more of my stuff soon :)

Nice one.
I like the satellite effect or the music action thing where the camera moves with the music.
What did u use to add this fx? I try to learn premiere actually.

thanks alot guys, and to Dr.Scurveh, i used fraps to capture. Then in premiere i set to use video for windows and a res of 512x384 (which is half res in Fraps). To export i used teh Windows Media Encoder in premiere using the Mpeg 2, 2 pass render codec.
Thanks again everyone.

so when fraps records half its always 512x384.. or is it half of your resolution?

No, he down sourced it from 1024*768 so it would look nicer.

yeah, fraps has an option to record full frame or half size. So if im running the game at 1024x768 , half of that res would be 1024/2 = 512 by 768/2 = 384. so 512x384 is exactly half the resolution of 1024x768.

technically the best fan made bf2 vid to date, top down zoom was very nice, keep it up i've yet to see a fan made vid as good as the game intro movies but it looks like you've got what it takes to do it
