I tried this as soon as I discovered that after I installed the 1.02 patch I was gettin chunky lag and lots of it, where as b4 the 1.02 patch it was great.
Installing BF2 and then JUST the 1.02 patch did clear up a fair bit of the lag that I was gettin but it still wasn't performing as well as it was b4 the patch.
I've also manually updated PB and cleaned out my BF2 cache files and that has finally reduced the lag down to a level that is almost as good as I was gettin b4 the patch.
Most ppl have noticed an improvement in the lag they were getting after the 1.02 patch but for a minority of us it really fooked it big time. My m8 had to find a quiet spot for about a minute at the start of every new map while he moved his mouse around in circles to alleviate most of the worst lag he was getting.
Luckily after trying the things that I did he has gotten rid of about 90% of it.
It's made me a bit apprehensive of the 1.03 patch though.

This is trying to solve a problem to do with "client support" as topic is so important to you.
You're just bitter, I don't know why but it might be because you are crap at english and can't spell "You're".
How the hell is my post not relevant - It works for many people.

You got tired of people complaining so you thought you'd post an uninstall / re-install solution that would fix the entire range of everyones problems on the forum, shame we all havent already tried an uninstall / re-install huh ... wtf?
What is your excuse? :hmm:
Whats our excuse for what? Not being able to solve all our problems and everyone elses? Thats why were posting here in client support you fool, like i said go spam another forum
Yea, red cross should go spam some other country with food because some people in the country don't get any...
Same principle. I think you have some kind of power problem.

..Contrary to your belief...this only fixes about .0001% of people's problems. Most people are having issues with their Audigy sound cards, x800 series, or just the very annoying bugs that plague Battlefield 2.
The only thing that will "fix" people's games will be a new patch correcting any driver or compatibility issues.
I still don't agree with it being regarded as spam by some *** hole.

Well, we already have 8000 posts. If people would use the frickin' search button, it won't be such an issue.
