whenever i click connect to the account....

ok a freind of mine is having this problem where whenever he clicks connect to the account server it puts him right back to the main menu , and he cannot connect, and when in single player his game is constantly crashing, and i dont know how to help him, ANYONE know wuts up?

Sounds like something is using the port bf is listening on.

Meaning BF2 can't recieve or is recieving data it doesnt understand.
Just an idea.

try clearing out the cache folder, it worked for me
