View Full Version : Ruin The Enemy Commanders Day

Tired of constant barrage of ARTY? Sick of asking for an ARTY only to be refused whilst your commander pummels the uncap able CP’s for command points and no TK punishes?

Boy are commanders going get it when they give tickets for destroying his assets. Till then these are my tips on how to encourage them to play as they were intended.

Firstly of course become Special Forces a team of 2 would be best but lone wolf works too.

DO NOT DESTROY HIS RESUPPLY ASSET. It will make your life hard.

Priority target is his UAV so if your alone concentrate on this. The reason for this is it’s a valuable asset and when denied for a good period of time he will definitely face a mutiny vote and it makes it harder for him to direct troops to stop your little game. Just as important it only takes 3 c4 charges. When destroyed if you think you have time set 2 more charges in case an engineer is sent to repair (Hopefully the commander himself). Wait hidden to see his response. If he sends down a crate set charges, re supply, blow UAV. Repeat.

If you are part of a pair one SF can go for his ARTY. Personally I would only destroy one gun set 2 more c4 charges on destroyed gun and wait to see his response. If he sends down a crate set charges on all guns, re-supply blow the guns to bits wait repeat.

If you are part of a pair keep each other informed of the commanders responses to your actions this will give each other an idea of what to expect will come your way.

All the time crates are being dropped you can relax a little. Finally someone will come searching for you. When this happens if you survive never hide in the same place, set traps with a charge or 2 of c4. Warn your mate. When you are killed and unless the commander is a complete arse you will, re spawn on your teammate. This means cycle being the squad leader if need be. (If you are squad leader leave squad, rejoin) because as sure as little green apples he will be next on the task list but this time there will be two of you to deal with. Don’t forget when you die if there is little time to set up choose a kit you think will do most damage or be most useful i.e. re supply as the crates will probably have stopped by this time.

Important, note the commander’s name for these reasons. If he has been voted off you get a warm feeling of success, the new commander is not wise to your little game. Also when a new game starts the old commander (if still there) will already be wise to you.

As commander I have to deal with these pests practically every game. Luckily they are usually stupid and get killed either by me or my troops pretty quickly. A good commander keeps his men informed when the UAV or radar or arty goes down, with VOIP and text, avoiding a kick vote and getting help. I always play engineer close to my stuff and fix it up fast.

The real way to screw the commander is to seize the base, destroy everything, and hold it. Not so easy to do, but I have seen this turn my sure victory into defeat when we have no scan, UAV or arty.

When they give points for destroying assets... watch out. The game will really change a lot. I play mostly spec ops, and don't generally bother to try to sneak all the way to the enemy base for no points and a usually quick death.

being commandre would be harder with the new patch end of august. with points given to the spec ops destroying the assests, hell. more pesky pests will come to my base and blow stuffs up! :(

Yep I whole heartedly agree with both replies. I suppose I should have said this tactic on certain maps.

Commanders as you two seem to be will win every time. I devised this tactic is for the (be nice) less organised ones. I'm supprised how many times this has worked. Of course its not just the commander, if his squads are doing their own thing it just helps my little plane even more.

What I love about SF is the diversity of iritations this class can cause.

The patch. I dont think anyone but devoted commanders will ever apply for the job. Mutiny will be much rarer

Yes, stat padding sucks. But it would at least be funny!

Well... 99% of people are total ****ing retards and will punish u even when they run into your arty. So whewn 3 ppl step into your artillery ur automatically punished and kicked out. That's the logic behind not firing at your teammates

What do you mean do not destroy resupply asset? If you're just talking about the box that floats down, I know what you mean.

iirc the uav only takes 2 C4.

Ya, all the commander assets are only 2 C4's. Bridges are 3. What exactly, is the re-supply asset? I thought there were only 3 commander assets, UAV, Scan and artillery. Re-supply, I thought, was always available.

It's availible but you have to keep waiting for it. I don't think you can drop supplies though if you can't use the satellite to see the map. The trailer has to be up and running to drop/scan/arty right?

I've had all commander assets blown up and still drop supplies on them to fix them, so no, you don't need the sat, trailer, or arty to send the boxes.

I never really cared about the points but the idea that i am annoying the hell out of someone is worth way more to me than points. Whether they give you credit for the resource kills or not i will always be the thorn in the commanders side.

Uhm correction: It only takes 2 C4's to destroy anything, as long as you place it on the object and not near it.

Commanders will still drop supply crates to heal their stuff, so it becomes a full blown job to stay there and whore the command assets.

You can blow up supply crates with a single nade, so save your C4.
I'm starting to really make the scanner and UAV my main targets. Cause Arty isn't really good to use if you have no idea where to shoot it.
And a few times I have shot a supply crate out of the sky in a plane before, its awesome :D

You can't revive the enemy thank goodness. Just imagine if you could... so much abusive gameplay there.

Instead of blowing his stiff up just be a sniper and camp at the base and shoot the commander ever time he spawns, he will spend more time hunting you down and or running from you than commanding

Killing and reviving the commander would require someone to be a traitor to their own team, by reviving him and allowing someone from the other team to kill him again.

That's a bit ignorant to vote someone off because the entire team knows when someone destroys commander assets.
