I was wondering with all these Lone Wolves with all the badges, some medals, and all ribbons...why aren't they in a clan? So today I call out to those who would like to start up a TB2 Clan...

Well if the clan would be filled with the moderators it would be the clan of children! lol
Honestly? I would guess they work on the news and such too much to organize a clan. Its hard to organize a clan AND a site.

Hey it's just an idea moderators are moderators they moderate..not run a clan we could draft up a good clan leader like the founder of Carbon 5 "Gaming Evolved" or something like that...we wouldn't need to "advertise as people call it..this site is the google of Battlefield 2 if someone wants to search for something on the net they think...Google (http://www.google.com) or ebay...if someone wants to sell something they think....Ebay (http://www.ebay.com) if someone wanted news on Bf2 they would think TotalBF2....all these sites are famous for one reason...they started off right at the boom...as soon as the internet started wham Google (http://www.google.com) and Ebay (http://www.ebay.com) were on the scene..same for TotalBf2.com (http://wwwtotalbf2.com) it started when Battlefield 2 was announced.
We also have lots of people with photoshop who could design logo's etc.. and lots of other technical people with skills that a clan would need...This Site is the Perfect Cocktail for a Clan.

No, a tag perhaps, but not a clan. The tag would be a means to identify other members in-game, but not a clan.
would i have to change my s/n? or should we make up new nicks just when we can all get together and play?

lol good luck getting them to do something...both our NA and EU (more like the lazy EU's) are busy in our own rights, as NA is participating in CAL league 8vs8. But, its a well thought out idea =P
But i'm not sure where this is leading to: a clan comproised of the best of totalbf2.com's forum goers, with the admins/moderators as leaders?

No if you have a look at Site Staff (http://www.totalbf2.com/site/staff/) you will see they have site director, graphics staff etc..etc there could be another guy who would have a title of Clan Leader or Clan Founder
and yes it woud be a good idea for the clan to consit of the very best of TotalBF2.com (http://www.totalbf2.com)... if they want to join and don't mind leaving the clan they are in.
As I said in my other post..It's just an idea seeing as though on every good players sig they have 1000 kills 200 deaths alll the badges, medals and ribbons. If the clan gets big enough (if it gets the go ahead) then we could devide it into squads...which is another idea...

hmm i don't think you can do this, because only the staff may use TotalBF2 tags.
Sir. SashDaMan
07-29-2005, 10:59 AM
What do you mean? Yo dont have a tag in front of your name? Nither does GameWizard...
But like I keep saying...IT'S JUST AN IDEA it will work.

To be honest I don't think this is a good idea either. I'll explain when I'm not quite so tired. :)

I would join sounds good.
We already have a Sponcered Team (http://www.totalbf2.com/community/clans/)...
Carbonfive: Gaming Evolved (www.carbonfive.co.uk) is the sponcered team of Total Battlefield 2, you can drop by thier forums, here (http://carbonfive.co.uk/forums/), if you are looking to join them, click here (http://carbonfive.co.uk/forums/index.php?showforum=53) for North America, or here (http://carbonfive.co.uk/forums/index.php?showforum=52) for Europe.
If you all were planning on having a team composed of members of our community, I would really like to see that, but I just wanted to throw that out there because we do have a fully sponcered team, whom we expect to see the best out of, I would like to see the fruits of TBF2 show their worth in competition as well as here on our site.
So like I said, feel free to form teams from the members here on our site, I welcome the commuinity aspect gaming teams bring, but with this I expect to see no tension or ill feelings toward anyone in our community from these newly formed teams.
In closing, I have reread through this thread, and I have come to the conclusion of that this "Site team" should not come into begin... I see that you would really want recongintion for this team and I don't think that would slide due to conflict of interests with our sponcered team. As stated only our staff may wear our "tags". As I have stated above, feel free to form teams out of our community, but that does not mean you will be "the" team for Total Battlefield 2.

I agree..I've seen huge community sites try to do it and never really got it going. Also, I think it would really affect the other clans out there trying to recruit good members who would probably just come to join TotalBF2 as it is so known.

As I have said in another post moderators moderate the forums and update the front page with news.Site staff code and maintain the website...Clan Leader is a title for the actual Clan Leader he doesn't neccessarilly have to be a moderator, a coder or even any other site staff, he would be a new guy drafted in from another clan, for instance, who has expreience in this field...Amazingly enough like all the staff on this website. ;)

Sorry mate, I can't see this happening for the reasons Defy has already said.

Lol yes like me for instance  ;) . But I haven't had the best of experience now have I lol?
Yes I also can't see it happening with all this negative feedback!
But like I say on nearly every post...it was just an idea.
Sasha, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think this is our decision on this matter here (http://forums.totalbf2.com/showpost.php?p=240699&postcount=28). I would appriciate it if you would cease this "idea" and maybe start a new one within the limits of what is the reply above (http://forums.totalbf2.com/showpost.php?p=240699&postcount=28).

I know it can't happen i knew that on like the 5th post lol but like I said it was an idea but now we have a "Sponsored Team" then that's the clan to join but recent attempts to join this clan have been unsuccessful and posts that I have posted have been removed and my account password changed... that is why I decided to ask the question "Should TotalBF2.com make or have a Clan?"
But, To conclude I will delted the link to this thread off my signature..

Nice spelling Defy.... LOL. Idea sounds good but seems too hard to pull off. Like Umi said the NA division is busy with CAl and their personal lives currently. EU is um.... not quite sure about the EU. Not sure what they're doing but the NA is a no. Keep this going. It'll be interesting to see how it fans out.

Doesn't seem like a very community oriented site when I can't even read the forums. If they are supposed to be a And the horrid flash navigation makes it difficult to find anything on that website.. I mean, the little news box thing is like 250 pixels wide! It's one of the poorest designed websites I've seen in a while.

If you can take some time to read the forums that you can read you will find all the information that you need, vnetrilo and TS server IP;s, information on our leaders, and a place to post your information for recruitment.
