The <a href="http://forgottenhope.bf1942files.com/main.php?lang=english" target="_blank">Forgotten Hope 2</a> mod website has been updated today with a rather large update. This time, they are showing off some new renders and wallpapers. Check it out below:
Welcome back for a special Forgotten Hope news update. There has been a lot of discussion--even some argument--in our public forums about what our first release should include. I am happy to be able to announce that our first release for the BF2 engine will focus on the desert campaign in Africa. Our first efforts will be to bring a selection of the battles between British and German forces in Egypt and Libya to BF2. McGibs made a special wallpaper in honor of the occasion (you can get some different sizes in the media section.)

This is one of those mods that gives yah the good images purposly to kill yah of anticipation =P But anyways this is gonna be an awsome mod!

Looking good, I think the african theatre is the best theatre for a fast release.

hey hopefully this time the rifles will have a bolt action animation instead of jsut lowering the gun and making a clicking noise but that was dice's fault. :D

I love it, can't wait for the "British" update...that African helmet is just sick.. :)

btw, I was just looking for a new wallpaper for my desktop today, and here it is :D

update: just changed the wallpaper to that Helmet, cuz the concept art was too bright.

btw, what are those sandbags for, on top the tank?

The sandbags were used to absorve some of the impact of medium to low caliber guns or hollowcharge weapons, AT rifles, etc.

Basically, it was a way to increase the armor of the tank, one of those measures found during combat.

It's going to be such a long time before this is released, but I really am looking forward to it.

Having uninstalled 1942 quite some time ago it's one mod I really miss.
