Everytime i play the game about 5 minutes into the game i have the 'Connection problem' box pop up, anyone have ideas of what the problem could be? I do have NAV2005 installed but have the 'internet worm protection' off while playing the game, also, i disable the antivirus. In the game settings i have the DSL box checked NOT the T1(LAN). Any help would be appreciated.

Firewall? Router? Make sure they are both configured to allow BF2 to play though properly. Most routers have a "gaming" mode of sorts (it will vary from company to company, so contact your router manufacture) that allows bigger packet flows through.

No windows firewall, but what i did try was uninstalling NAV2005, the game ran smooth for the time i tried it which was about 20 minutes of play. Not one connection box. I re-installed it again and now i am back to square one. Any recommendations on a new anti-virus software and firewall software?

Defragment, Turn Firewall off. TURN OFF NORTON WORM PROTECTION.
Did these three steps and installed latest Bf2 Patch and reduced the " BOX " by 99.99%

If anyone suffering high ping & lost connection r from PA I am and have the same problem with or without navsystemworks05 installed.
King of Chaos informed me it was probably a gateway prob but i never figured how to solve.
