The profile you made for your online account is saved on a server, not on your hard drive....so don't worry about it. You will be able to login again once you reinstall.

The profile is on the EA account server, you can reformat and uninstall as much as you want and all you have to do is retrieve the account when you go in the game.

You can save your BF2 folder in your My Documents folder to disc though and then you can replace it when you reinstall the game. This will save all your video options and key configs etc. Save you doing it all again.

Okay then grammar nazi, I'll be sure to point out every gramatical error you have from now on.

To answer the question, you won't the only thing you will lose are your custom controls (if you have any) which you can just re-bind anyway.

You are welcome do do that as I never claimed to be above critcizm, I just hate it when people use the wrong words... It just makes them come off as unintelligent.

:D That is my screen name, not a statment or question, and is more of a direct quote coming from a radio show.

Haha I knew you were gonna say that.

I wasn't the one criticizing for spelling though, and I spelled my name like this on purpose.

My Docs/Battlefield 2/Profiles/0001

Save the 0001 folder then just paste it back in after you've reinstalled BF2.

Once you've logged into ur account again for the 1st time all will be as it was before.

"Critcizm"? I think you mean criticism. I always find it hilarious when a person has a go at someone's grammar or spelling and then makes a very similar mistake themselves not 5 minutes later. Well done. I enjoyed that. :D

Oh and just a quick side note. You have this in your sig "PVR: AMD Semperon 2600+, Biostar 325-A7 Mobo, Hauppuage PVR-150". Semperon is actually Sempron and Hauppuage is actually Hauppauge.

I do not recommend this as you will be transfering incorrect video settings saved by the game specific to your current hardware. Do a fresh install and retrieve your account.

That depends whether he changes the graphics card or not. He didn't say. Still just saving the key configs alone may be worth it if they have been changed a lot. We all know what a nightmare binding has been for some.

That's a run-on sentence there, buddy.

My god, what will it take one extra minute to optimise the shaders again.

Your account will not be lost as its not stored on your computer, its stored by EA.

I never claimed to be perfect at spelling. :D I was just pointing it out to him. Not quite as simple as lose and loose though.

this has turned into a school. o boy. anyways, as u can read, it doesnt mess up ur stats. it is NEVER stored in ur hard drive buddy. also, the only thing u will lose r ur custom binding keys. ex: i have my parachute button as mouse 3(the middle part, the rolling crap) instead of the number 9. once u reinstall u will have to set the custom bindings again.

That is arguable, as MS Word didn't find anything wrong with the sentence. I'm surprised you didn’t catch my misspelling of statement also.
