This probably may have been well known already but while you are infantry and if you see some guy in a chopper that looks like he is about to crash it's a very good idea to pop a few rounds into it.

While it doesn't do any damage to the chopper it does get you the kill if the guy does crash.

It works pretty well and is always worth shooting at least one round into any chopper flying by. Ive gotten six kills before because i popped 2 rounds with an m4 into a blackhawk and the guy hit some trees. 12 poits for me :)

Reminds me of the time I spawned in BF1942 and saw a B-52 dropping it's bombs with a axis fighter gunning it down. I fired two shots from my medic gun in desperation and the next thing I know I've got 3 kills as the wreckage of the plane falls around me. Gotta love BF score keeping.

Well it would piss me off i was in a plane or something shooting down the chopper and some guy took my kills. But im a land lubber so im happy with it.

Have you killed someone with a smoke gernade? That's the best. Works the same way.

Just like the other way, you get the last hit before they explode/crash. The smoke gernade gets registered as a hit on the vehicle and suddenly you have:

Burntheweed [smoke gernade] Noob01
Burntheweed [smoke gernade] Noob02
Burntheweed [smoke gernade] Noob03

rofl. It's not easy, but damn hilarious when it happens.

Champ, BF42 didnt have B52s, they had B17 Flying Fortresses. I'm a plane buff, forgive me.

Also, if you do that its all well and good, but with choppers especially when they're hovering over flags, you need to be wary that the wreckage may fall onto friendlies, giving you the TK. And thanks to the way the game has evolved, youre more likely to be punished than not.
