View Full Version : Guide/Tutorial Section

Hi,
Thinking of some ways to get more activity here (as we have got about 8 more active members since I joined  (78 active members in the last 30 days))
How about a guide/tutorial section either in the forums or on the main page? These guides would be player made and can consist of Nav aids, general flying, hints and tips, repaint, modelling etc.
If they are put on the main page, they would have to be submited and checked. If on the forums, just a new thread, but its up to Total network to decide about the checking. (EG: I make a guide, post it up and Dan (for example) checks it and then approves the guide (so it is hidden till Dan approves it) I say this to stop useless guides.)
Thoughts, comments and feedback appreciated :)

Just do it on FSX servers, i'm not thinking forums. If you talk to others over xfire or wherever, then link them here.

i dont see this going anywhere tbh. To make a guide on something to do with flying then youve got to have a lot of experience or do a lot of research, even then what is put could be wrong.
Ill say this... buy a copy of The Air Pilots Manual 1 : Flying Training and also
The Air Pilots Manual 3 : Air Navigation

What do you mean we don't have any guides? Oh great, just great. Everyone ignored and forgot my guide in the FSX section...

KC, Your recent posts seem to be very negative or very sarcastic, he was asking for a section to post this sort of thing, which would be very useful and help in the organisation of the fourms.
Someone asked for a similar board on the company of heroes forum and got it.

Sorry KC, I meant guides to one thing, not a FAQ. I haven't forgot your FAQ and its helpful. I'm just saying that we need a guide section for more in depth guides like VOR to VOR.
Sorry if it offended you.

Do you guys mean a new sub-forum, or a section on the left on the homepage?
