I just upgraded my computer with some great stuff but I was still getting what I saw as "monitor studdering"...for the lack of a better term.

What I mean is, when I tried to moved my mouse one pixel the monitor/screen drawing would jerk. It just wouldnt allow me to snipe or accurately aim with any consistency.

Here's a simple way to fix it! With a little investigation I found my in-game mouse sensitivity was set at 4.0+ which is way too high.

Set your in-game mouse sensitivity to 1.0 to 1.5 depending on personal preference. You will see a smooth mouse flow throughout the game now!

Just a simple tweak and I was fragging with accuracy like I knew I could....

Enjoy!

Uhmm....... I'd say everybody has done this by now (including me) because the default mouse sensitivity - like you said - was WAYYYYYYYY too high. Especially with a Razer Diamondback mouse! :D

Hmm...I have the mx518..maybe I should set the mouse sensitivity low and just use the mouse on the highest setting?

doesn't that really have to do with your hardware and connection speeds? Yeah, you're going to lag pretty bad when your video card has to redraw the screen if you're on a p2 440MHz...

Mouse sensitivity has to do with your player control.. but any lag from that comes from your system being unable to perform that fast, not some arbitrary mouse value?

(just my take... i've got my mouse sensitivity maxed out @ 10 for some, and always above 4)

I wouldnt categorize it as lag... it's more like monitor jump. Try to move your mouse (while infantry on foot) the smallest distance on the mouse pad that you can. Aim at a distant target and see how much your crosshairs move.

I think that some people are probably more sensitive to this than others. I want pixel perfect aiming. I cant have my aim off by even 1 pixel at 1280x960. <-- Just a personal preference. I love precision!

High in-game mouse sensitivities won't really allow for such preciseness. :)
