Hey everyone. Im the founder of BlackHawkOps, and some one of my men, tf0t, Wants to start making animations, skin, ect. But is not sure where to start. Hmmm well i dunno much about clans but i wana join one but most clan's i find the people 2 old... so im like naw

For making animations you need a 3d program. 3d Studio Max or Maya is recomendable. If you cant afford them then go download Gmax (www4.discreet.com/gmax/) for free. For skinning you can use Jasc PaintShop Pro, and you must have.dds plug-ins. (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html)
Hope that will get you started.

For Gmax, does it work well with the Battlefield Editor? And can you also use Adobe Photoshop for skinning?

No GMAX doesn't work well with the editor as there are no plug-ins for exporting or importing. Currently only 3DS Max and Maya have plugin support. Photoshop is THE image editing and creation tool, highly recommend it over PaintShopPro as a web graphics designer.

I heard Gmax will be supported in a future update, also, unless you are rich, your not going to buy 3ds Max or Maya and Photoshop at the same time. Hense the reasoning for Paintshop Pro, also psp can do just as good of job as photoshop.

lol! I took one look at that and flipped out laughing. That was like the most random thing, especially in a Modding forum. :laugh: :laugh:
