Soldner: Secret Wars...

So I buy this game from the markets, a mere $10 for what pirates call a 'playable demo'. I install it, thinking this should be good a full customisable player for a battlefield clone... I watch the intro, looks promising... The Menu appears, I select ANY of the Menu options, the game crashes to desktop. I install the game on a different machine, manage to get past the menu screen to start a new game. What happens now? Crash to the desktop... I try for a third time on a different machine. You guessed right! Another crash to desktop... ALL BEFORE I EVEN START PLAYING!

Is this game cursed? I have a mate who actually bought this tripe brand new and this issue occured again and again...

Anyone actually played this game?

trust me, those CTD's are just a signal that are screaming at you DONT PLAY THAT GAME!!! to be honest, is crap!!!

I've got about a million hours in that game. Brilliant concept, but they failed to ever fix it berfore wings went under. You should look at www.soldner.jowood.com and look at the stuff project zero is working on. They now have the code to the game and are working a new patch and content. Maybe they can get it right. When it's running right, it's one of the best games ever made. BTW, I unistalled mine when the BF2 demo came out. I'll reinstall when the new patch by PZ is released, but won't stop playing BF2.

I read in the gamespot review that if you turn to sharply in Rhino tank, it will roll... That's a bit silly.

Soldner was the most over-hyped peice of ****e I've ever played. Excellent concept, but the code and graphics was beyond the joke. And to think I waited a year for it.. Heh, another game sounds familiar.. I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B.

Soldner should have been awesome, it had all the ingredients to be a great title, unfortunately the chef ****ed up. :(
