How do I edit the way Dates are show?

It's currently: Day : Month : Year. I understand why dates are layed out this way, but I want to change it to Month : Day : Year as I am more familar to it. I tried to find this option at Control Panel > Options but my search resulted in vain.

Any help? It seems like i'm seeing the future (11-8-05: November 8th 2005!? WTF!?!)

Day / Month / Year for life!
(And I don't think there's an option - it used to be the... other way, and I asked for it to be changed)
There should be some clever code for allowing people to have what they want.
