This is *highly* dependent on your weapon of choice. For example, PKM (lots of bullets) vs grenade launcher (area one shot kill).

But anyways, if you don't state your primary class or weapon, the overall accuracy can be misleading. If you play mostly support, you're going to be spraying bullets every and your accuracy may be low because of it.

Mine is only 19% and has been for over a month. It's one stat I completely don't care about. I look at SPM, K/D, Pistol Kills of course(264 now!, back in the top 1000, w00t), but I'm not at all afraid to unload clips to suppress enemies or try and hit someone from a distance.
The game supplies you with more than enough ammo every spawn anyways, so it's not worth saving. I think I've only totally run out of ammo one time. It was Medic I think on Karkand. Used up all my M16 clips, my pistol mags, had to run around with my knife until I get blasted. YOU ARE CRITICALLY WOUNDED

Accuracy is more of an indication of being trigger happy rather than skill.

Dude, just to be fair, I dont think accuracy really matters..... Sometimes you just fire over there heads just to keep em down, other times you shott at copters, and even after that, you just unload for the God-Given right of unloading. Frankly I'm not sure it Matter that much. My accuracy even with a sniper rifle is only 40%. This is not because I miss all the time, but sometimes its because im shooting heli's with my .50 cal or shooting 300 yards to see how far the bullet drops. IM sure that anyone that hasnt done any of this before, would have a godlike (60%-!100%) accuracy. But thats just me.

When i voted (like 6 months ago), my accuracy was like 25%, but it's gone down to about 16% now. But look at my most used kit and gun, then you'll see why.

EDIT: Crap, that's my overall accuracy, the accuracy for the carbine that i have is about 19%, which is sucky for the carbine, but what can i say, i just suck with the carbines. I havn't used the carbines for a long time, i usually only use the LMGs and the G36e.

The individual stats arent even remotely accurate. Look at the number 1 player on the Overall, you will see he has 1 kill 80+deaths with a defib. Yet he has a defib accuracy of 74%?? I dont pretend to know how they are working thier algos but I cant find a single plausible explanation for a 74% acc on a 1 to 80 K/D.

You need to use your other kits to curve the damage your PKM does to the overall score. My support accuracy is some-what good, but my numbers are higher because a couple key weapons pull everything up. I mean, my Carbine accuracy sucks! It is also because I detest the Spec-Op kit...I'll only play it if I am flying or spawn at an enemy CP w/ assests.

Also, conserve your ammo! Don't fire at random **** unless you have too. Like tossing grenades needlessly or shooting the sniper rifle at a moving target over 150m away. Unless you know you can nail'em, don't waste the effort.

Also don't waste AT mines, C4, and Claymore when they are not needed, that pulls your stuff down too!

If your dad ever told you this, you need the right tools for the job, so if someone is 100m away, don't try to hit him with the pistol, because every shot is counting against you. Pull the rifle out, go single shot, and finish the job right.

Wow, i thought i was a really bad shot. But looking at my stats, i have 22.85% which is pretty average. So that's reassuring, assuming the majority of people were honest.

Come to think of it, i sometimes find it amusing to just spray bullets into the air like a lunatic, that can't do the ol' stats much good.

You've been playing for ages!! so yeah probably won't help much now, I think stats like SPM and Accuracy and KDR should be divided into how you played that perticular month.. e.g. the fact that when I started out I had 4x my deaths over kills 1000 v 4000, been a long run to break that

In the start i thought that it depended on how many bullets that did not hit a target, but appently its not that, cus i have been wasting away bullets for ages runnin around blowin the snot out of peoples noses with a PKM.

Yup, a real gamer will admit to not having perfect hit ratios...so I'm manning up and saying that I have no clue what my hit percentage is, but I can assume that it's most likely in the 20-30 range. Assault doesn't necessarily require my accuracy, just enough rounds in the air to drop the target.

One way is not so just randomly toss grenades or waste ammo when walking, driving or standing around on the helo pad. Everytime the trigger is pulled it counts against your accuracy, whether you hit a target or the ground. You have to make every shot count.

sounds good to me. im at 57 with the sniper.

61% with GL...didn't expect that.
18 with shotguns...thats also unexpected to me.

15% lmao god thats bad... but to be honest if there are no people around i will usually practice fire.. by that i mean on my way to finding the action ill see somthing (fire extiguisher,barrell,sign,watever) and ill stop aim and shoot to see how fast i can lock a target :P so i guess that would greatly effect my accuracy cuz i do that ALOT lol damn i didnt even think that might affect my accuracy mark lol.. im going to stop that
