I have a 5700le graphics card at the moment and i am running everything on low, this is really annoying me as i would love to play most, if not everything on high.

I was thinking of getting XFX GeForce 6600 256MB DDR TV-Out/Dual DVI (AGP) for £99.95..will this allow me to play the game as stated above?? or can anyone recommend a card that is AGP around the same price, maybe up to £150, that will satisfy my needs???

Thanks

The 6600 isnt the best in all honesty, investing a bit more will get a 6600GT for about £125 which is far better. It only has 128MB but is proven to seriously outperform the 6600. Another option is for the XFX6800, you can pick them up for slightly more than your budget and can be easily overclocked to 6800GT standards with a piece of software called Rivatuner. On my old AthlonXP2700 at stock, my 6800 got 8600 in 3DMark 03, once overclocked/unlocked, I got 11000. Not bad for 2 minutes work. ATI are also releasing their X800GT which performs very well but is PCI-E only at present.

If you have enough money to spend, buy 6800gt, it comes with 256mb ddr3 memory and you can overclock it to 6800 ultra speed. I think it's $280 in Newegg.com. Does anyone here who knows where I can buy a cheaper 6800 gt?

thanks for the advice, can you run BF2 on full with that card? also, where did you purchase this card from? Does the card get seriously hot from overclocking it?

If you are getting an AGP card then (for the money) the 6600GT is unbeatable. I got my 6600GT 128 from wwww.overclockers.co.uk and it plays BF2 great. All medium settings apart from dynamic lighing & dynamic shadows, no AA, 1024 x 768 and generally 65+ FPS.

A guy in the same clan as me has the 6600GT 256 and its quite a bit better than the 128 version, but so long as its a GT then it will be fine ;)

If its a PCI-E card you want the best one for the money is the radeon X800 Pro.
