Hi Guys,

First post, long time reader.

I have gone through all 13 pages here and I can't find any info that tells me how to install the custom maps on my dedicated Linux server (unranked).

I have FTP'd over 3 maps and added them to my maplist.con file:
mapList.append medina_city gpm_cq 64
mapList.append Jungle gpm_cq 64
mapList.append Al_Khafji_docks 64

The folder layout is exactly the same as the original maps /bf2/mods/bf2/levels/ but when I start my server via screen ./start.sh it says those 3 maps can not be found.

I have checked with ASE and there are Linux server out there running those maps so it must be possible.

Do I need to edit any other files? like a master map list?

Any and all help would be most appreciated.

Cheers

I had the same Problem, but now I know that the Foldernames, where the Maps are in, must be written in "small" letters, also the name of the Description Folder info and the file in it must be written in "small" Characters. And of course the Names of the Maps on the maplist.con must be written in "small" Characters too.

Seems Windows can run it that way, no matter how its written, but Linux Ded. Servers can´t. After I changed that, it worked. ;)
