both pics owned by .jpg but i COULD post higher quality of the X850XT (my system) but you guys would have to put up with a couple meg download but ill do it if you want me too

For those posting JPEGS, you do know that you're wasting your time?
If you want to compare absolye picture quality you need to save as a PCX so that all the details are preserved, this is about details isn't it?
Don't post JPEGS because you're only defeating the object. :)

bit of a pointless thread really since both gfx cards set to the same highest setting will show the same image, its the performance that shows the difference...... why not just post up some videos with a FPS counter instead of wasting time with screenshots.

Specs is as follows:

P4 3.0C @ 3.3GHz, ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe, Thermalright XP-90 + Panaflo 92mm H1BX, Audigy 2 ZS, 2 GB Corsair TwinX XMS PC-3200C2PT, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro + VGA Silencer [Rev.2] @ 360/670, WD Raptor 10K SATA 74GB & WD Caviar 7.2k 200GB, 22" NEC MultiSync FP1355.

All settings on High, textures set to Medium. Average 40 FPS in intense gun battles and more in open areas. 2X AA, 4X AF. Little old 9700 Pro is still puttin' along. ;) Who needs a new card :P
