Report Bad Post

I was an smod of a large (5000+ members) forum for several years and after a while I grew to hate the 'report bad post' button as I had 20-30 pm's in my inbox everyday, often all regarding the same post.

I've been using it a lot recently but just wanted to check if mods find it useful or would prefer that it was only used for 'serious' cases as opposed to a thread being posted in a wrong section.

The board I run only allows one report per post. If someone already reported the post, nobody else would be able to report it again. I also coded it so that it would make a post in a private forum for any staff member to be able to read.

PS - You had the Reputation feature activated when you first upgraded to 3.5. Why did you get rid of it? I think that is one of the best features of VB.

Well personally I try to check out every post that's reported.

I have it go straight to my GMail so it's all in one message as opposed to many different ones. Easy for me, I'm not sure about the rest of the mods though.

I certainly don't mind. :)

Vbb will let you receive the post reports as a PM rather than email incase it makes life easier for you.

Email's easier for me....I don't want PMs everytime I sign on...and I'm shocked....I only get maybe 1-2 a week as an SMod

I get them as e-mail, and I don't mind getting the reports, makes life easier.
