I have been able to play BF2 w/o problems (thankfully) up untill I installed the BF2 Autoloader 2.0 or whatever one they just came out with. Now, I can't join any server. I have uninstalled it but still have same problem. I connect to my account and update servers with no problems. I have the updated patch and have updated PB...I have no clue what the problem is. If anybody can help me out it will be greatly appreciated...Thanks....xiy

You need to "tick" the correct boxes in game (in options) to join servers that are of the same version as you.

You need to "tick" the correct boxes in game (in options) to join servers that are of the same version as you. Well...I have had this version for about 2 weeks and no problems...just after I installed the Autoloader...it doesnt even connect or give a message...just flashes to the BF2 spinning cursor then back to server list...
and it has always been ticked

What do you mean by "installed the Autoloader"

OK i see now.
You can either pick the bones out of the link below (sort out what is applicable to your issue thus far) or do as i have just suggested to someone else.
Quote "IMHO i would do a full uninstall of the game files PB and patch, follow the instructions "fully" it is a tried and tested method by others and will be quicker for you in the long run as by now your files may be well mixed up. link to how to >>> http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18709 " end Quote

now...is that just getting the demo off cause i dont have it...if not...well im assuming autoloader is the problem since it started immediately after i installed it...I uninstalled autoloader and instead of uninstalling all of BF2...couldnt i just go into regedit and delete anything to do with autoloaderor would that be to much work?

No, the instructions are supposed to cover the implementer in process of uninstalling all traces of the BF2 game whether it be demo or full game and at the same time showing how to store files correctly when installing programs yet in a supposedly simplified explanation.
Then installing the appropriate files in the correct places and running them in order correctly.
The instructions have been set up by experienced players in this forum having experienced issues since the game was first released.
Plz don't forget any and all advice in this forum is given on in a none associated way with any company and given as advice only in voluntery way.
Doing the regedit thing will still leave unwanted files on your HD and still may cause future problems.
The best way is always to keep a clean HD
But as always do it at your own risk m8.

Try and put in your CD Key again. Sometimes you have to do that all over. It's in the Support Folder in the BF2 folder.
