nitemare, i noticed you have a amd 64 3200... i was wondering if that runs battlefield 2 very good. I was thinking of going with a amd 64 3000 with 1 gig of ram.

Graphics are pretty good but i bet the game sucks since it uses control pads.

Looks good, I see they decided to include the apache and the hind in this one instead of selling them to PC users as an expantion pack...
Would like to see this on Xbox 360 asap.

No not at all,It is very easy to come in as a PC-Gamer like my self into the console,Since I cannot play Bf2 on PC since I cannot afford the parts,I pay it on ps2 and it is very very good!,Very good game and I would recommend you buy it!

Since you have played the game maybe you could answer a question.
Do the Attack Choppers have TV guided anti-tank missiles? In the video it looked like they only had unguided rockets. The game looks pretty good but I already have BF2 so ill stick with it.

shockwaves? bad graphics? unrealistic heli physics? poor models? awful skyboxes?
think i'll be sticking to the pc version (also known as the real version)..
heck compare the mosque model to the pc version, the console one looks like n64 graphics...
awful!
Dunno if you are implying that shock waves are unrealistic, but large explosions are accompanied by visible shockwaves. Maybe not of that extent... but still.

Tanks don't even blow up when shot at with missiles..., not to mention explode like a bomb with a shockwave.
Ill be sticking to the PC anyway. More players, better graphics, mouse and keyboard, MODS, and more.
Wow, alot better than I was expecting. Nice graphics, good sound. The only thing that might become bothersome is that wave effect when things explode.
Someone mentioned gamepads beeing better when playing FPS games.... no no no no nooo
They work OK for semi-slow FPS's such as Halo, but nothing, is more effecient and easy on you than mouse and KB for FPS's.
I'm really amused at how many PC players of BF2 throwing fits at this game for a console... you don't have a console so why spout out "0MG this game st1nkor5 the big 111!!!!!1shift+1!! " ?
Afterall this is aimed at console players. If you have both, then lucky you, you'll probably want to stick to the much more large scale, PC version[no ****] (console version only supporting 24 vs. servers), but why all this aggro? :laugh:
No-one is expecting you to buy this, and I'm sure even Dice and EA are not expecting PC gamers to jump boat...
This is aimed for the guys that have a console and mostly only play games on that - and for those that have both... there are'nt many players I know of that would go buy any game twice (once on PC and once on consoles)... so here, have a chill pill.:evil:

For all doubting shockwaves, you can see one in action on this bunker buster bomb video.
Granted it's no where as impressive as the ones in the video, but how boring would that be if they were as minute as in real life... s'not like BF2 sticks that close to reality either. ;)

The helis I like though since they remind me of DC helis and the physics seems the same way as well with flying. It looks cool to me though.

In the Demo there is only un-guided rockets and a gatling gun on the Mi-24 Hind.Trust me it is not an awful game it is very good!,This is coming from a PC-Gamer that has played the BF-Series since bf42 demo came out and every thing in between.The game will be great and I can't wait.

Looks alot like DC so it's not that bad, but actually playing it with a controller will be an entirely different issue.

Anything, yes even a tank, will produce a shockwave, if hit by a large enough projectile. Even if tanks are tough to blow up, the impact of the missile will create a shockwave. Wether a tank blows up or not, is not even the point.
And again, if games kept that close to reality, they'd be boring to play. (this is of course refering to the size of the shockwave)

The shockwaves are coming from the missile exploding not the tank. If a non-explosive round were to hit a tank it wouldn't explode it would just pierce the tank and destroy its engine along with all its controls and probably kill everyone inside.

You said tanks create shockwaves which is untrue, the missile is what is causing the shockwave. Also i said that the shockwaves were a result of the missile exploding, not the tank, read closer.

I personally didn't like the graphics all that much. Infact I thought about buying it and now have decided not too just because of the arcade like graphics. How is that for a positive comment.

Why do people care so much about graphics? Even though it doesnt have the greatest graphics, its still gonna be a good game. Gameplay is everything. Why do I still play tetris? Not for graphics, for gameplay :D

yeah do shockwaves really matter. i think not the demo of this game is better than any full xbox game which is saying something. and for the ppl saying that bf2 has more players ur wrong cause when this thing comes out there are gonna be alot more players on XBL than PC. The ppl that have played the demo no what im talking about this game rocks

Sorry, but explosions do not bend light as they do in the game video. Watch the "Thunderstruck" video at Ifilm and you'll see that, indeed, shockwaves do not bend light. When you see the image around the point of detonation warping, that could only be achieved by bending light. That takes something on the order of the gravitational pull of a blackhole.
Dont think Ill be getting that, looks kinda crappy. Ill stick to BF2
