my bf just quit... / alt tab problem too

hey i got some problems with bf2... i got a radeon 600x XT an asus a8n sli and 1024 ram....


well
sometimes my bf2 just quit without any advertisement or error window...
wtf is happening??

my friend just copied from his HD to mine... (no installation) can be it??


and another question... i saw in readme file i can't press ALT+Tab... (the terrain change to black, sometimes back without crosshair)
can i fix it??

When you say your friend copied from his hard drive to yours, do you mean that he copied his installation of BF2 from his hard drive to yours? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that can't be expected to work. If you mean that he just copied his entire hard drive to yours, that shouldn't be a problem unless it consumed so much of your hard drive capacity that it's causing problems.

As for the alt + tab issue, I had the same thing happen back when I was running on 512mb of ram and my 9600xt. I finally figured out that most of the time, it just takes a while for everything to be re-rendered (I guess..) and displayed. If it never comes back, BF2 has probably frozen up. Try giving it a while, see if it comes back.

medium video settings and the sound setting is high.... well i got 2 X 512 ddr 400...

Well, I hate to sound...suspicious, but this sounds illegal to say the least. And yes, you need to install your own copy onto your machine as it custom tailors itself to your hardware.
