This is really wierd.

I run a GF 6800 GT 256MB, The game runs like a dream on my system. However, I have always noticed that when indoors it is very dark, almost so you can't see anything. I thought this was how the game was supposed to be.

The otherday for unrelated reasons I installed the DNA tweaked 77.77 graphics drivers. When I went to play the game, it looked no different when outside although there was reduced visibility due to fog, however the inside of buildings were really well lit, which surprised me.

After a reboot it has gone back to being dark again. I have tried reinstalling the drivers but it is still dark - HELP PLEASE !!!!

For example on Karkand inside the huts at the MEC base, it is pitch black inside. After the new drivers I could see furniture, pictures and drawings on the walls.
On Mastuur in the building protecting the MEC flag, there was a really bright light shining.

On Sharqi at the construction site, it was pitch black before, so much so I could harly see to go up and down the stairs (I know others have reported this) but after the drivers I could see very well.

try changing the lighting in the game
either down to medium/low from high or from low to medium/high and see if it makes a difference.

if that doesn't work, clear the cached bf2 files (the shaders etc.)
delete the files in the cache folder here
C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2\cache\

the game will re-do the cache files when you next start a game. That should fix the problem (unless its a hardware problem  )

Might be your gamma settings...maybe the snapped back to default or something on reset.
