Probably from someone using a high resolution, when you resize the pictures to 1024*768 they will look much better, and maybe in photoshop he added some USM to it

Try turning off the hud when you take screen shots. They look lots better. BTW, my screens look that good and I play on a laptop with a wireless connection!
