What you recommend

Ok I want to replace my fx 5700 vid card, I am not a computer guru and want a card that is trouble free, no need to adjust just plug and play. I dont want to spend a pile of money here, so what do you people recommend. Thanks in advance.

Well, with Windows it's "Plug and Pray" rather than plug and play. How much do you want to spend?

Well there's a load out there. Nvidia you can get the 6600gt or ATI you can get the 9600xt. Keep in mind these are the absolute minimum I'd recommend for BF2 and don't expect high resolution or high/med settings. The 9600xt runs about $85 and the 6600gt runs about $125. Newegg.com prices.

Which is better the 6600 gt or the 6800

Not positive. The vanilla 6800 and the 6600gt are close. I'd go with a 256M 6800 if you're going Nvidia.
