Here's how to do it guys..
Start a game.. singleplayer!
Pause the game
go to console and type demo.recorddemo [demo name]
unpause and fool around for about 1/2 minute [doesn't matter how long]
console.. type demo.stoprecording
go to your /mod/bf/demos/ folder and drag all the files to C:\Documents and Settings\g0d\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default
go into the game.. community.. and play the demo..

O.o and yes.. it's a weird bug..
