Easy..don't edit it.

There is no reason to.

I know it's a smart assed answer but...it's the only one I have for you at the moment. I'll see what I can think of.

I figured as much...

Do you any of the settings changed in the nVidia control panel? If so, don't. Leave everything set to default values or 'application-controlled'.

What drivers are you using? Use the latest official drivers. Don't expect everything to work if you're using beta or tweaked release drivers.

Are you overclocking? If so, don't.

BF2 is VERRRRRRRRRRRY picky as it seems you're finding out ;)

defult nvidia settings, drivers that came on disk, 77.77, i like the one that came on bf2, view distance was better, no OC on my VGA, have no idea on how

should i use the drivers on the bf2 disk or get the latest one?

Download the latest ones.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_78.01.html

nVidia drivers dated earlier than the ones released on the BF2 disc are known to have compatibility issues with BF2. That is why those drivers were included on the disc.

If you were using 77.77 I can't imagine you would be having problems...but I DO like these latest drivers. Great performance.
