Yea, the MX-5 is Logitech's gaming mouse which is suppose to compete with Razer's Razorback (both 1600dpi). Overall, both mouses are highly recommended. :) Logitech will also be releasing their G-7 wireless laser mouse which will compete with Razer's Copperhead. (2000dpi) Here's some links:

I have the MX510 and love it. I'm using the two buttons on the side for crouch and duck. Really helps my game.

You think it will be worth it though to pay the prices for the G5 or G7 (I know...laser is a nice upgrade) or take advantage of falling prices of the MX518?

A wired mouse is more reassuring on the battefield.
Would you want to have a gun that risks jamming ?

It depends, some people favor wireless mouses because of their setup. Myself, I like wired mouses because of the realiability. Can't wait to get my hands on a Razer Copperhead mouse. 2000 dpi which is customizable :D Plus, a 16mb storage which can store the mouse's drivers and settings (for LANs).
