Which side do you prefer? Clearly Axis for me with their cool units and V2 rockets! ;)

Allies for fast building and stuff, and 3 man engineers

Axis, of course. Being forced to play Allies gets boring after a while.

Axis , i do not play allies much anymore as i only find they have worth-wile units when playing mainly infantry maps , but even then most axis units when used right out-class allied troops , also what drove me against allies more is riflespamming :s

Axis, but i play allies too! they have great inf capabilities, axis is better for armour.

i prefer Allies

mainly for:
bombing runs (i just like them alot)
paras
rangers (rockets and SMGs really mess stuff up)
howitzers *drool*

axis never appealled to me, especially since i aint much of an armour fan and prefer inf style things

No. Simply no. I'm not sure about 1.5 because I haven't played much after it's release, but before that shermans were simply the best tanks in the game.

Sure, they weren't the fastest or the most resistant or the most damaging. However, even considering the high cost, they were the most cost-effective tank as well as the best when you took everything (by "everything" I mean the tank's statistics - speed, maneuverability, firepower, armor) into consideration.

In the hands of a good player, a single Sherman could easily defeat a StuG or a Tiger or, under the right circumstances, a Panther.

Actually it's one of the worst tanks in the game, it takes 10 shermans to take down one tiger. It's only good purpose is against infantry and poorer Axis tanks.

I beg to differ. If the player is skilled, a Tiger has no chance against a single Sherman. I've seen it happen many times, and even done it myself. A Tiger's turret simply cannot keep up with a circling Sherman. Same for Panthers (though harder to pull off) and, obviously, StuGs.

M10s are the same, but they have weaker armor and thus it's a lot more risky to use them in this manner. If you get stuck with a Sherman, you back up, take one hit and continue. If you get stuck with an M10, you lose it.

The Panzer IV can, as far as I know, rotate it's turret fast enough, but last I tried it's horribly inaccurate and won't destroy a Sherman 1v1. It might have been fixed though.

I'd like to see Sir. Xan and AeroTow battleing it out with tanks! :)

Axis, quicker access to MG's and snipers.

And also against riflemen , if you just keep running them back and forth wile throwing stickys then can take out a Tiger ok .

The newbelwerfer ( miss pelt i presume :p ) pretty much sucks but sounds great but the walking stuka is a really really great unit .

Walking stuka is good to have around cause it can shoot, and it can replenish troops, or use the flame thrower upgrade if your dealing with more infantry. I like the allies though I seem to play axis more for some reason, who knows.

well in real life, the axis have limited supplies but yet they have next gen technology. But that didn't save them from losing the war did it

Idaeus

You mean they had limited supplies and nxt gen technology. ;) This is very true! The german Tigers owned any American tank but the German industrial engine simply could'nt spit them out fast enough. Oh and a little comment on your sig: That second quote made me dislike Patton since he clearly does'nt know his history, nor future. ;) Sorry mate i dont mean to pick at you, ok? :)

Oh and i have a correction about my first post. I like the Axis because of their V1 not their V2.

Axis all the way. Especially the Panzer Elite. With Gernadiers(spelling?) being able to go anit infantry or anti tank, they can adjust to the situration. Also the hummel is a beast of an Artillery unit.
