No Japs or Russians???

I was really hoping for some russians and SNOW! :D But is it only gonna be brits and germans? :( Thats a little bit dissapointing. Don't get me wrong. I hate whining i just was hoping for this but i will still be very happy with the brits! :) Thoughts?

Yeah i was really hoping for some Russian action too, but having Britain is just as good. Hopefully they will add a Pacific Front expansion pack with Japan, that would be cool.

Russian tactics, as said dont fit CoH's way of fighting. No Retreat, fight to the last man, same with the Japs, but some of us would get a little crazy:D

but yet, the russians would get slaughterd and 500 infantry would like die in 10-15 minutes. and you could command your jap troop in to banzai/suicidal charge. But the russin part is impossible. 20 million will die in a single game and that 20 million will either have bullets or guns

Japs would be insane, When the P-47's crash it can kill ALOT. Now a actually targeted one damn. Maybe have like a tunnel system, Or sunken tanks. The japanese made up for its old tech and fewer men with some serious dipline and cunning. I would LOVE to play as them.
As for everyone bashing the whole Russian infantry. They had amazing tanks and ungodly amounts of artty. Using a no retreat tactics would really change the whole CoH dynamic. Il-2 strikes and mad infantry rushes come on man Russian's and Japanese for the friggin win.

The brits are as good as any , at least your getting a new faction , new weapons and new maps. Was hopeing for russians and/or japs, but as stated before, hopefully in a future pack.

P.S.: Small correction on the russian attack: " Send 500 of them into battle, only 250 getting close to the enemy , because the other half got scarred, wanted to retreat, and was shot by their own officers." :p :D

I think a tunnel system would be kinda boring in a rts. You wont see anything... ;)

I say the next is Russians with some sort of North African German Faction with Eastern front action along with desert jungle combat in the horn of North Africa. Then Japenese and the US Marines in the sequel/expansion/add-on after words. So don't look foward to Japenese anytime soon. But Brits, and Panzer Elite will kick @$$$$$ Brits with their specialized units, and the Panzer Elite with their tanks (JAGDPANTHER!!!) The game will play so differently from current COH (Allies faction will become known as "Americans" and current Axis will be called "Whermacht" or however you spell it). I can't wait for a beta!!

Correct, the have said they would keep CoH going for as long as possible and that includes expanding into other areas of WII.

I think I remeber hearing that they want to finish the war in Europe first then move to the Pacific. So I see atleast 1 more (after OF) for the war in Europe. Which would have the Russians and North African Germans. But the thing is, is it doesn't make much sense to have Russians and North Africa because they're too far apart. So perhaps 2 more for Europe and then the Pacific front which would be most likely more air and sea based rather then land. All speculation but I CAN"T WAIT FOR 2012

Hmm never thought of Patton in the game. Maybe a side similar to the "Panzer Elite".
