But to be honest, with the game so close to release (This Fall, remember?) it makes sense that they would give more info on it. So I guess i'll have to keep my ears open.

Shouldn't be too long until they start releasing more information. Most companies release a steady flow of information as it gets closer to release.

interesting outlining the new engine, how it doesn't require the original game and also includes awesome screens

EDIT: im not entirely sure about the full price or not but since it is a standalone game...anything can happen. time will tell :D

It's a good choice to let it be a standalone-addon, new players don't need the old coh(except they want to play normal germans/americans) and the coh-owners just "upgrade" their version and have all 4 armies.
I think I'm going to play the british forces with their defense tree.

Yeah, only downside is an expansion would be cheaper, how we have to pay full price.

That's true, you can say we buy the engine/the mainconsctruct of the game again and with it the exp. But if the content's right I don't mind paying the full prize again and there are two kampaigns, right? :)

But wasn't the Dawn of War Dark Crusade addon not an standalone-addon? And the price was a normal addon price, wasn't it?

I don't mind paying full price for something that's going to give me hours of entertainment, however i think that it may put some people off buying it, but i see your point.
