panther the best tank?

I beleive that the panther is the best tank of both sides,while the tiger may have better armor and a powerful gun it is slow in all aspects(turning,turret speed),while the panther has a weaker gun but is superior in terms of manuvering which can be everything in a tank battle.post your thoughts to.

depend on the situation , in late game when i have a panther i can never manage to micro manage it around enermy tanks to get a rear shot because theres so many or at guns , so thats y i like tiger.

Panzer4's (2) are better than a panther ;) they are fast and do near the same damage as the panther.

Well , realistically speaking, if a sherman was coming from behind, it would take out ( disable it at least ) one of the "mamoths". Happened in real life too ... The big Panthers and Tigers were consuming sooooo much fuel , so the high resources to get one of those is acceptable. In real life , low resources for the germans, especially at the end of the war , was a BIG factor for the LOW production for Tigers and the life expectancy ...

P.S.1: With the risk of repeating myself, it's all about tactics and numbers. If you'll ONLY attack with 1 one those monster, don't expect it to live too long... But if you add in the ecuation , at least a Panzer 4 and a Panzer AA, you should kick some a$$. :)

TBH, the calliope pre 1.5 i think, was the awesome, main cannon, and rocket barrage... what more can you ask for? coaxial MG and fixed MG... jesus.

otherwise, I am a tiger guy too, but it sorta sux on large maps, teams can easily flank it out etc.

Tier 4 is not viable in 1vs1. Tier 3 with doctrinal abilities to back it up is far more viable. The best tank in the game is the Tiger (if you vet it up to 2-3 its unstoppable), or the Pershing because of its 7CP arrival on the field compared to a 8CP tiger.

Pershing or Tigers are the best tanks hands down. They do the most dammage to everything while the Panther is like 2 against infantry so it can get stickied to death. Its HP isn't great and it cost WAYYYYY too much. I mean you can spend 640mp and 120fuel for it OR you can save up 360mp get a Tiger and then buy some veterancy. Tiger>Panther

The only thing that tank can do is take out infantry, it can not I REPEAT can not destroy a sherman and may destroy a M10 after 60shots or so. The Ostwind (which is what it is called) is completely useless since you can buy a Panzer IV which with lvl 2 veterancy can do just as well and stand up to AT guns and enemy armor.

^ you're right. Flakpanzer (or ostwind, I guess) cannot at all blow up a sherman. I've spent several minutes trying to destroy shermans with it. I still like it. It's great for infantry and buildings. But HORRIBLE for destroying a sherman. Absolutely horrible. Plus it blows up in 2 anti-tank shots. Which means you can't just leave it idling out in the middle of nowhere or else it will just sit and get itself destroyed.
