Add a hole in the side of the church where the glider hits and it would look more realistic.

You know, gliders are not heavy, they are built of light materials. There wouldn't be a hole. :)

Actually they are quite heavy and would most likely leave a hole in the side of a building. Empty the glider weighed about 3800lbs and loaded about 7500lbs. That would leave more then a dent.
