this won't work. I place it in my recorded files folder and it doesn't show up in the game. When I first saved a recorded game, it recorded a "temp" file along with the rec file. Should we get that from you as well?

Idaeus

Well I've done other recordings since then. So then the temp file will only aplly to the latest recording or?

I have no idea how any of this works. I just assumed that by placing that file next to my other recording, it would show up in the "recorded games" tab in my game. It doesn't though.

Yes, young n00bs, just put the .rec file in your Playback folder.

Open game, go to Skirmish, then Recorded Games.

I already have this one from the game:p watch how the airborne spams me!

And I did some howitzer drops on your uber-defenses to help him out! ;)

After watching again I notice that after my final Rifleman assault, Aero only had 1 Knights Cross Holder left, to my 4 squads, I could have had him! If only...

Kradath

For me it worked.

For Vista users it's something like this:
C:\Users\Firippur\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\playback

Idaeus

I somehow cant find C:\users\Firippur... ;)

Yes its the same for XP. :)

Hmm, footage to study for this weeks torny. MWAHHAHAHAHAHA.

Watched the game and it was a very nice inf only game. If it was 3v3 rather then a 2v3 the game would of been more fastpased, but alas that did not happen. First off good use of the axis bunker Idaeus, locking down that area was very good. However you could of made one of the bunkers a medic station and put in a mg squad. That way for every 4 casualties you would get a grenadier squad. Plus a little unknown secret is that even with the mg upgrade, if you put in another mg it will fire out the same window and cover 360degrees around the bunker. Putting Mg's in bunkers will benefit you greater then keeping them in buildings. When in a bunker the unit is given a massive defensive boost and the units are invincible against grenades. 9 times out of 10 the grenade will do little to no dammage to a unit in a bunker. However in a building the odds aren't so much in your favor. Don't worry so much about Vp's early game especially in a 1000vp game. Cap the important points (munitions for axis, fuel for allies) and then go for the Vp's. More mines would of been good and kept airborne from getting to your flank/rear *cough* Idaeus *cough* :) Keeping units in the street is not a good idea since the gain negetive cover (red shield) and take MORE hits compared to normal (no shield) or yellow/green cover. Allies should of used the fireup ability more often and that will negate the suppression from the machine guns. Try not to use satchel charges against infantry in the open because even a blind man can see the timer ticking down from 5sec. Medic stations are vital in inf only games and I saw none built. Triage centers will let your units live longer as well. A supply depot is vital as well since BUILDING one reduces your upkeep by 25% and another 25% each upgrade. That will allow you to field more units. Upgrade them with BAR's and grenades and keep pushing that suppression button and then lob a grenade. Buildings are good to provide cover but can screw you if you get into the wrong ones. Small buildings that hold 3 or 4 people are never good to go in. Since they are small the units can only fire out 1 side, and take more dammage from grenades (small area, big blast, more immediate casualties). Getting into a building that has only 1 or 2 windows/holes facing the enemy is also bad because that allows the enemy to fire all of his units at you but only 2 of your units are facing the person giving you less return fire. Overall a fun game to watch and I can't wait to be in one. More upgrades would of benefited the axis with lmg upgrades and MP44 upgrades to suppress and destroy the enemy quicker (I didn't notice them, but they may of been there). Rangers with tommies are deadly

PS: At the end there was a clump of Riflemen infront of an MG. That favors the MG by doing more dammage. Think about it, lets say in 1burst the MG fires out 50 bullets. If that is fired at 1 rifle squad then those 50 bullets have 6 bodies to hit. Most miss and some hit. But if there are 3 squads rushing a MG then there are 50 bullets that can hit 18 soldiers, so more of the bullets hit and less are wasted. I'm gonna stop typing now and play some COH...OR BF2 (I can't decide:eek:)

I'm stunned. I'm not taking the p!ss. I'm honestly totally amazed! :) Thank you very, very much for the feedback BodyBag! It seems like I'm the "noobest" player in this game. I had no clue that i would get grenadiers from putting an mg squad in a bunker. I dont think i've ever put a unit in a medic/repair bunker. I did realise (too late) that i needed to put some mines out behind my frontline tho. I hadnt ever really thought of supressing the enemy and then lob grendes at them. Dont think I've ever used the supression button neither to be honest. Your tips and tricks look very helpful and i'm gonna put them into practice next time i play.

Its great to get this kinda feedback when you put a replay up! :D Looking forward to future reviews from you! :)

Yeah medic bunkers are great to have not only in inf only games but for any game really. It cost like 150mp? to build a bunker and when you get a grenadier squad you get twice your invetment back. Plus you can shoot enemy medics by manually clicking on them. Your units won't auto target them. Is it ethical? No. But you get xp! Thanks for the comments, my first "official" review of a game.

WHOA I wasn't pissed or angry guys lol. Notice how I called you a "noob" back? I call all my friends noobs. It's insulting them 'in-good-taste' as you might say.

But seriously he told me to do something I already did and said I already did. Don't know why he would've said anything at all but whtever.
