GA|Shemp has recently contacted us with new information about a new tournament called Global Assault. This tournament is smiliar to other MyIS tournaments such as 21st Century Warfare. Read more about it below:
Global Assault is the newest edition to the MyIS (myinternetservices.com) Tournament family which has now reached 8 in total. Some of you may recognize some tournament names such as 21stCenturyWarfare and BFE:WaW etc...

For those of you that have not heard or participated in any of these "game styles" I shall give you a somewhat brief rundown of what these sort of tournaments are comprised of and how they are run.

Each tournament is comprised of a basic hierarchy. You have your owners, your general admins and your battle admins. Each having their own job to keep the tournament running smoothly. There are tours of duty or "campaigns" which roughly run 8-10 weeks with battles on a set day or days of the week where two armies will come and battle over a span of 9 hours. You are in NO way expected to particpate the whole time. You come and go as you please, but while you are there you follow the battle rules and the rules set down by your commanding officers. After each set of 8-10 weeks there is a "shuffle" where new commanders are chosen and in some cases rules are added or altered and the occasional admin is added to the roster. Then you start all over again fresh with new leaders who use different styles of game play fighting for a TEAM victory.

The Staff at Global Assault will work with every member of the tournament to try their best to optimize the level of fun that each person will have during their stay for each campaign, and as far as clans, we promise to work with every clan to keep them on the same side (if they so wish) so that they can fight in these large scale battles along side eachother. Once signed up you will be able to participate in organized practices on one of our servers provided to us by MyIS, and also the chance to participate in the 9 hour long battles that go on every Sunday.
To read more about this exciting new tournament, please click here.

I don't understand why anyone would want to play a tournament with BF2 atm. All the teamkilling grief crap aside, the fact that AA missles hit friendlies about 75% of the time despite having a lock on an enemy makes this game really random at times and gives air power almost complete dominance.
Suggestion to EA, FIX THE AA, or replace them with flac cannons, the AA emplacements are almost completely useless, you're lucky if you don't hit your own guys, let alone hit the enemy!

That was fixed in 1.03 and btw, I think this tournament runs the 21CW mod, it's a lot better than regular bf2...

Basically enigma, u enlist in a division and in that division you get placed in a company. Your whole division practices certain days of the week at certain times. On the weekend, (sunday I think), you have these 9 or 12 hour matches that are very fun...

Oh ok. I signed up and still haven't received an email confirmation, although it said on the site that I'm on the MEC forces. I really hope i'll be able to switch or swap teams with someone, since I really dislike being MEC.

ATM we are in week #4 of a 8-10 week campaign. The mmaps and terrotories as well as the story line can be found on the main page. We are currently not using any mods and the armies are working with it very well and game play is fun and works amazingly well.
We have teamed up Rising Conflicts and they will be developing a mini-mod for us to usse in campaign #2 which shoud start sometime around Christmas.
We currently also use a system similar to that at BF:E used. IT is similar to Risk as far as the attacking army is concerned. Commanders have to Bis for the attack. You can read more in the rules section of the forums.
I will look into the email problem.
