Sniper Tip

This is a very basic tip, but one that some people may overlook. If you have a unit that is being sniped, you can do 3 things. You can rush your infantry towards the last known area of the sniper, risking running into MG's or other infantry. You can call up a jeep/motorbike, to find the sniper, but the vehicle is very succeptable to small arm fire. So the third option is to get a sniper. But how do you keep it from getting sniped?? Use the hold fire button, that button will become your friend and allows your sniper to live longer. Allows the sniper to scout, and can let you gather intel. If you know a sniper is near and your sniper is not on hold fire, and enemy infantry comes within range, your sniper fires and the enemy sniper fires and pop's your snipers helmet off (which aparently kills them, must be frosty the snowman, needs the hat to live). So manually telling your sniper to shoot may be time consuming, but you'll get to use the sniper to it's full extent, making the enemy have to use more manpower then you.

It's a unit you have to care of, because it's not cheap and it's one of the worst things, when your sniper gets killed by an enemy one.

You really have to be careful with snipers in this game. They can either be really wasteful (when they die by a sniper and don't get any kills) or they get be your MVP (when they kill loads of enemy).

As usual at the beginning of the game, I build engineers to go capture all the points. The next thing I build is either snipers or jeeps, or both. Preferrebly a faster vehicle which can get to an enemy sniper quicker. Just command the vehicle to get right up to the nose of the sniper and they will always run (if it's computer) and always get killed pretty quickly.

e gad! i hate snipers! i don't use them much myself though :(

Jeeps and Motorbikes have a large "de-cloak" range and can easily find snipers and take them down.

Yeah any unit that can cloak will be revealed farther away then normal if you use a jeep or motorbike.
